What Is Legoland?
Legoland is a theme park that puts you directly into the world of Lego. Everywhere that you look, almost everything is built out of Lego bricks! (Or at least designed to look like it.) There are seven themed lands within the theme park: Brick Street, Bricktopia, Lego Ninjago World, Lego Castle, Lego City, Lego Pirates, and Miniland. Within these lands, you'll find hands-on activities, rides, play areas, and more.
The fun doesn't stop at the theme park. Legoland New York Resort also has a hotel right on property. Legoland Hotel is amazingly themed and provides many offerings. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are met with so many things to see and do. There's even a Castle/Pirate Ship play area where little ones can play, climb, slide, and of course, build whatever they'd like with Lego bricks!
When you plan your stay at Legoland Hotel, you will choose from one of the four themed rooms: Pirate, Lego Ninjago, Lego Friends, and Kingdom. Kids can enjoy having their own separate sleeping areas within the room, giving the grown ups more privacy. The rooms also have even more Lego bricks to enjoy as well as an in-room scavenger hunt. The trips to and from your room are also filled with fun. The disco themed elevators at Legoland Hotel have lights and music, making the perfect opportunity for a dance party.
The hotel also provides free hot breakfast daily at Bricks Family Restaurant. In the evening, there is nightly entertainment for the kids. And quite possibly the best perk… Legoland Hotel is within walking distance of the Legoland New York theme park!
Things To Do At Legoland
As you may have guessed, there are many opportunities to grab some Lego bricks and build your own creations. Not only that, at many of these interactive areas, you can put your creations to the test! Build a boat and then let it sail through real water. Build a car and race it down a track. Whatever you can come up with, you can build!
There are also many different types of rides at Legoland New York. All of these rides are family-friendly and designed with kids in mind. However, even though they're geared towards kids, adults can ride too! You'll find a carousel, boat ride, car ride, train, roller coasters, a spinner ride, 3-D ride, and more!
When the kids need a break from activities, they can let some energy out at the different play areas. Shiver Me Bricks and The Wharf are both playground areas where kids can run, climb, and slide. There's also a Water Playground! Here you'll find waterslides, fountains, and a water dump area. This is a perfect place to cool off during the hot summer months. For a more relaxed activity, check out the Nature Maze. This is a hedge maze filled with different Lego designs. See if you and your group can spot them all!
At Legoland New York, you can also enjoy shows. These include live music, demonstrations, and 4D movies. There's something for everyone, but especially those who are into ninjas! Earth Beat provides Ninja-inspired music and drumming right at the entrance of Lego Ninjago – The Ride. Over at the Legoland Theater, you can see the Elemental Masters. This show is a demonstration of elite ninja skills. One of the 4D movies is also ninja themed! Catch Lego Ninjago: Master of the 4th Dimension as well as Lego Mythica 4D: Journey to Mythica and Lego City 4D: Officer in Pursuit over at Lego City.
Meet and greet opportunities are also available at Legoland New York! Meet Lego characters at Brick Street, Bricktopia, Lego Ninjango World, Lego Castle, Lego City, and Lego Pirates. Themed characters also appear for holiday celebrations.
Seasonal Closures
Legoland New York Resort operates seasonally. Both the theme park and the hotel close during the winter months. Certain outdoor attractions at the theme park start to close as the weather changes before the season is actually over. The 2023 season just recently ended with the park closing on January 1, 2024. Both the theme park and hotel will reopen this March. Legoland Hotel will open on March 26th, 2024 and Legoland New York will open on March 27th, 2024. Due to these seasonal closures, different offers on tickets will become available on the Legoland New York website at various times.

Legoland New York Ticket Price Q&A
You can enjoy Legoland NY in one day. However, it is recommended to take at least two days for this theme park so you can enjoy it without rushing. It's also easier to get everything done over a couple days if you have children along with you.
Kids ages 1 and younger are free at Legoland New York. Any child that is 2 years of age or older will need a valid admission ticket, season pass, or annual pass.
