Knott’s Soak City is the coolest water park in the Buena Park area of Southern California. Located next to Knott’s Berry Farm, Knott’s Soak City offers plenty of opportunities to cool off in the summer heat. And for Disney parks aficionados like us, this water park is a great to break up your vacation to Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. However, planning your visit to Soak City requires you to factor in its ticket prices!
Open on select days from May through September, Knott’s Soak City offers 23 different speed, tube, and body slides and a gigantic 3-story wet playground for guests to enjoy. It also has one of the longest lazy rivers in the country – an astonishing 1,780 feet! To round things out, guests can enjoy the ginormous Tidal Wave Bay, a state-of-the-art wave pool holding 750,000 gallons of water!

Knott’s Soak City Overview
Knott’s Soak City is a 15-acre water park that gives both locals and theme park enthusiasts a wonderful way to cool off when the temperature goes through the roof. It’s also a great way to escape the urban feel of the greater Los Angeles area. As part of the theming, many of the attractions are named after Southern California surf spots.
The park itself is comfortable enough to have lots of activities and attractions to experience, but small enough that the younger ones can roam around on their own without parents needing to worry about them too much. For reference, those that visited Galaxy’s Edge in either Disneyland Park or Walt Disney World explored its 14 acres of Star Wars immersion. Knott’s Soak City is very similar in size.

Knott’s Soak City Hours
The best way to stay up-to-date on Knott’s Soak City hours is through the Knott’s Berry Farm app. The theme park is typically open at 10:00am, but closes at various times throughout the season. For 2023, Knott’s Soak City was open from May 20 through October 1. However, the park was just open on weekends during the early and later parts of the season, but is open daily from mid-June through mid-August.
Knott’s Soak City Ticket Prices
Since Knott’s Soak City has a separate entrance from Knott’s Berry Farm, this water park requires a separate ticket to be admitted in. Also note that when purchasing tickets online, Knott’s Soak City charges a $6.99 processing fee per order. Below is a list of ticket options for guests.
Guests visiting either Knott’s Soak City or Knott’s Berry Farm also must pay for parking either in advance or when arriving at the theme park with a cashless method of payment.
- Cars and Motorcycles: $30
- Buses and RV’s: $35
Soak City “Specific Day” 1-day Admission ($49.99-$54.99 for ages 3 and up)
This ticket type gives admission into Knott’s Soak City for 1 day. When purchasing online, you are to choose the date you wish to visit the theme park. Note that this pricing applies if your ticket is purchased at least 24 hours in advance.
Knott’s Soak City Season Passes
If you plan to frequent either Knott’s Soak City or Knott’s Berry Farm throughout the year, a season pass may be a good option for you. Knott’s Berry Farm offers two season passes that give admission to Knott’s Soak City. Both season passes offer unlimited visits to Knott’s Soak City, a 10% discount on select food and merchandise, Cedar Fair Hotel discounts, and Bring-A-Friend Discount tickets on select dates. Guests also have the option to pay for their season passes through a payment plan.
2024 Gold Season Pass ($130 for ages 3 and up)
This is one of two season passes offered at Knott’s Soak City and Knott’s Berry Farm. The Gold Season Pass gives unlimited admission into both theme parks as well as the benefits specified above.
Prestige Season Pass ($375 for ages 3 and up)
The second season pass offered, the Prestige Season Pass also offers unlimited admission to both Knott’s Soak City and Knott’s Berry Farm. Additionally, this season pass offers free general parking, access to preferred parking and a preferred entrance, 1 single-use Fast Lane per visit, 2 FREE Bring-A-Friend Tickets per year, and access to a VIP area.

Multi-Attraction Tickets: Knott’s Soak City
For those planning a longer vacation around the Southern California area, a multi-attraction ticket may save you money on your visit to Knott’s Soak City. The best part is there are several discount pass options available that also eliminate the hassle of purchasing individual tickets to different theme parks. Let’s go over the options you have.
Go City Pass
The Go City Pass is an all-inclusive pass allowing you the ability to visit as many attractions as you wish within a specific number of days, all for one discounted price. Your money goes the furthest when visiting at least two major attractions and a few less expensive ones. As you can infer, the more attractions you visit, the more you save. There are two Go City passes that include Knott’s Soak City.
Go City Los Angeles Pass: Choose a pass that is valid for between 1 and 7 days. With this pass, you have access to Knott’s Soak City, Knott’s Berry Farm, and a few other theme parks including Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios Hollywood.
Go City San Diego Pass: Similar to the Go City Los Angeles Pass, choose a pass that is valid for between 1 and 7 days. However, this pass gives you access to Knott’s Soak City, Legoland, SeaWorld San Diego (for passes of 3 days or more), San Diego Zoo, and several other attractions in the San Diego area.
Discount Tickets From Costco
While Costco does not sell Knott’s Soak City tickets, Costco has sold Go City Cards in the past at $112.99 per adult and $97.99 per child when purchasing online. This gives you access to Knott’s Soak City, Knott’s Berry Farm, and several other theme parks in the Los Angeles or San Diego area. Currently, Costco does not sell these tickets, but be sure to check back with Costco frequently as they rotate the tickets they sell.
Discounted EPCOT Tickets Through AAA
If you’re a AAA insurance member, you’re in luck. AAA typically offers discounts for its members through its website, sometimes allowing you to save up to 20% off of regular gate prices. AAA members can purchase tickets through the AAA website, in-person, or through telephone.
Note that if you’re purchasing your tickets through the Southern California AAA club, you usually need to be a Southern California AAA member. However, discounts that involve showing your card at the theme park ticket window work for any AAA member. You can also visit a Southern California AAA club office in-person to take advantage of that particular club’s discounts, even if you’re a member of a different AAA club.
Military Discounts
In the past, Knott’s Berry Farm has partnered with the military and Department of Defense to offer some of the most effective discounts on Knott’s Soak City and Knott’s Berry Farm tickets. Anyone with a valid Military ID is eligible. Simply show your Military ID at the ticket window.
Guests who qualify may also be able to purchase their discounted Knott’s Soak City tickets through their local military base in the tickets and services office or through their specific human resources department. Make sure to check what discounts are offered.
Employment Offices
Many employment offices offer some type of access to discounted theme park tickets. The best way to learn about these discounts is to check with your human resources department when planning your Knott’s Soak City vacation.

An admission ticket Knott’s Berry Farm does not include admission to Knott’s Soak City. However, Knotts does offer 2 tiers of season passes (Gold Season Pass and Prestige Season Pass) that give you both admission to Knott’s Berry Farm and Knott’s Soak City. These passes start at $130/person.
Costco does not sell Knott’s Berry Farm or Knott’s Soak City tickets. However, Costco has sold Go City Cards in the past at $112.99 per adult and $97.99 per child when purchasing online. This gives you access to Knott’s Soak City, Knott’s Berry Farm, and several other theme parks in the Los Angeles or San Diego area. In general, you cannot bring your own food to Knott’s Soak City. The exceptions to this rule are that you can bring unopened and empty water bottles, baby food, and food for guests with special dietary restrictions.
A full day at Knott’s Berry Farm through the 1-Day Admission ticket, costs $69.99 when purchasing online. Note that when purchasing online, Knott’s charges a $6.99 processing fee per order. Additionally, guests are required to pay for parking either in-advance or when arriving at the theme park ($30 for cars and motor cycles, $35 for buses and RV’s).
