I Just Saved $116 On Walt Disney World Tickets With This New Discount

Something I repeat again and again here on Mickey Visit is how staying on top of Disney discounts is the best way to make your trips more affordable! This paid off for me when I realized a discount dropped on the day I was planning on booking my next Walt Disney World vacation.

One of the most common complaints we hear from guests is how Disney has gotten more and more expensive and while I do not argue with that, there are ways to try and keep your costs down! This article is part of a larger series here on Mickey Visit, Make Disney Affordable, where I highlight discounts and savings along with my personal experience with cutting costs for trips.

This is the third in a new series here on Mickey Visit called “Making Disney Affordable” where I share different discount tricks and hacks to help you afford your vacations. I had booked my Walt Disney World vacation using one of the hotel discount savings that Walt Disney World has released for the 2025 year which already saved me over a hundred dollars on my hotel! Since I booked through Get Away Today, I was able to contact one of their agents and apply this ticket savings to my existing package which saved me an additional $116 for the two adult tickets I had booked.

Since I am splitting my travel package between two different discounts, I did need to book these separately which resulted in two different deposits on my vacation but I was happy to do that to save the additional money. I will need to pay it off anyways so why not just put more money towards it now? Get Away Today was able to turn my package into a hotel booking only (through Walt Disney World to get my hotel discount) and a separate booking for my Walt Disney World tickets at kids' prices through Get Away Today. Combined my savings was nearly $300 but could have easily been more if I would have opted for a more expensive hotel. Since I want this trip to be as cheap as possible, I opted for the cheapest category of Walt Disney World hotels. 

For some readers, booking their trip in separate deposits might feel like a pain but it was seamless on my part and saved me an additional $116 by doing it this way! If you are serious about making a Disney trip affordable sometimes you have to jump through some hoops to make it happen. It's not different than strategically stock piling discount Disney gift cards to build up your savings on a trip.

This additional money we saved easily takes care of one dinner reservation for my family of three! It all adds up in the end and that's the way you should approach any Disney vacation to save as much as possible.
