Mickey Visit Holiday Inn & Suites Anaheim Review
Holiday Inn & Suites Anaheim is located behind the Mickey & Friends parking structure. While it is not within comfortable walking distance of the parks, the ART Shuttle is available for convenient transportation, or you can opt to take an Uber/Lyft for the trip to and from Disneyland.
The hotel has 255 rooms, including the option for 2 Queen rooms and some King rooms. There are no connecting rooms at the hotel.
We recently got the opportunity to tour the property, and the photos in the article below are from our tour. We will share a look inside the rooms and amenities at this hotel to help you decide if this is a good fit for your Disneyland trip!

Holiday Inn & Suites Room Amenities

Here is a look at the 2-Queen room at the hotel. This room type is ideal for small families and includes basic amenities like a 32-inch cable HDTV with HBO, free Wi-Fi, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and workspace.
Holiday Inn & Suites Bathroom
The bathrooms include bath amenities as well as a hair dryer. You can see the bathroom above, which has a shower/tub combination with a curtain. The spacing is a little tight in here, but it's convenient that the toilet and shower area can be closed off by a door and that the vanity area is separate.
Holiday Inn & Suites Frozen Suite
There are also some themed suites available at the hotel! The theming is bold and not very extensive beyond a few key elements, but these suites are a fun option for families with smaller kids who may be excited by the stories and characters. There are suites themed to Mickey Mouse, Frozen, Star Wars, Cars, pirates, and princesses.
When we toured, we got to see the Frozen suite and Mickey Mouse suite. The Frozen suite, pictured above, features Frozen-inspired duvet cover, artwork on the walls, wall and door decals, etc.
Holiday Inn & Suites Mickey Mouse Suite
The Mickey Mouse suite includes details like this fun Mickey wallpaper, Mickey artwork, sorcerer Mickey duvet cover, Mickey decals on the door, and more Mickey iconography throughout.
Holiday Inn & Suites Pool Area
The hotel has a heated pool, whirlpool, and splash pad area, with cabanas available. There are poolside services and towel service offered. The pool is open from 9:00 am – 10 pm.
Splash Pad in Pool Area
There is also a splash zone for children in the pool area with water cannons, ground jets, and fun icons and animals! This is a great offering for younger kids.
Holiday Inn & Suites Kids Eat Free at Breakfast
Breakfast is offered daily at the hotel's Onyx Restaurant and Lounge. The breakfast buffet at Holiday Inn & Suites costs $21.99 and includes hot items like bacon, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and breakfast potatoes, bakery items like french toast, breads, and muffins and pastries, and light bites like yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, and cereal. Breakfast is available from 6:30am to 10am.
Kids eat free is available for up to two kids ages 11 and under per paying adult at the buffet. Staying at a Disneyland hotel with free breakfast can be a great way to save money during your trip, as you won't have to worry about this extra expense each morning of your trip for your kids.
Holiday Inn & Suites Dining
There is also a dinner offered at Onyx from 5 pm-9 pm daily, including pizzas made-to-order, with a variety of different pizza types available as well as the option to choose your own pizza toppings. This is a great perk for families who may need to grab a quick and easy meal at the end of the day!
Holiday Inn & Suites Fitness Center
The hotel also has a fitness center with basic workout equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, weights, bench press, etc. While there is probably not a huge need for this for families visiting Disneyland with all of the physical activity in the parks, fitness centers like these can always provide a good space to stretch after a long day.
Holiday Inn & Suites Location

Holiday Inn & Suites is located right behind the Mickey & Friends parking structure. While it is quite close to the Disneyland Resort, as you can see in the photo above, it's unfortunately not as easily accessible on foot as some of our favorite hotels within walking distance of Disneyland. The walk to Downtown Disney alone is about 15 minutes, and to the parks themselves, you're looking at around a 25-minute walk.
However, you can easily take the ART Shuttle bus (11 Ball Road Line), which will drop you off at Disneyland. See details about taking the ART Shuttle to Disneyland. Or, if you'd prefer to get to Disneyland more quickly, you can take an Uber or Lyft for your transportation.
Overall, despite the minor transportation hurdle, this hotel is a nice and reasonably priced option that is especially suitable for families with kids due to the various family-friendly perks it offers. Offerings like the themed suites, pool area with splash pad, and kids eat free at breakfast are all great reasons to consider this hotel, especially if you're a smaller family with younger kids.
