Disney's Animal Kingdom, the most recent of the four Walt Disney World parks to be added in 1998, is the largest Disney World park themed around animals, nature, and conservation. The park is home to several themed areas, including Pandora, Discovery Island, Oasis, Africa (and Rafiki's Planet Watch), Asia, and Dinoland U.S.A. The Tree of Life, featuring animal carvings in its trunk and branches, is known as the icon of the park and lights up beautifully at night.
Animal Kingdom contains favorite attractions like Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest, and though there aren't as many rides as in other parks, it has no shortage of rich theming and experiences. Animal Kingdom is easily the most underrated of the four Disney World parks, as its amazing shows and attractions make it a must-do during your Disney World vacation. Disney announced that there will be some changes coming to Animal Kingdom, including the reimagining of Dinoland with teases of Encanto & Indiana Jones coming to the park as well as a new Zootopia experience coming to the Tree of Life.
Animal Kingdom takes up more than 500 acres of space due to the animals that it houses (about 2,000 and representing over 300 species) as well as more than 4 million trees, plants, shrubs, vines, grasses, ferns, and more. We will take you through maps of the major lands of Animal Kingdom with pictures of each one and their main attractions as well as a pdf map of Animal Kingdom park.

Below, we will show a map of each Animal Kingdom land and detail its offerings. You can see each neighborhood color-coded on the map, along with the locations of attractions, dining areas, restrooms, Guest Relations, first aid, and more. On the map, you will also see icons representing the various animals you'll see at the parks.
As you can see on the map, lands are wrapped around Discovery River, with Discovery Island at center and Rafiki's Planet Watch in a separate area only accessible by train. Oasis (in red on map) is the first thing you'll encounter as you enter the park, with Discovery Island (in green on map) connecting all of the lands at center. To the left is Pandora (in blue on map), and to the right is Dinoland U.S.A. (in brown on map). Above Discovery Island to the right is Asia (in purple on map), and above Discovery Island to the left is Africa and Rafiki's Planet Watch (in orange).

Dinsey's Animal Kingdom Oasis Map
Disney's Animal Kingdom's Oasis is the first area you'll encounter as you enter the park. You'll encounter a “lush, tropical paradise” with garden pathways, home to several animals, including giant anteaters, babirusas, barking deer, wallabies, and spoonbills at the Oasis Exhibits (1 on map). This area also contains the themed Rainforest Cafe (2 on map), located close to the entrance, and Garden Gate Gifts (3 on map).
There are several paths you can explore in this area that lead up towards Discovery Island, which is the central area of the park connected to every land. You can see the map of Oasis below:
Disney's Animal Kingdom Map of Discovery Island
Discovery Island is located at the center of Animal Kingdom, featuring the iconic Tree of Life as well as several trails and access to all of the other lands of the park. On the Discovery Island Trails (6 on map) that weave around the Tree of Life, you can find several animals including otters, Cotton-top tamarins, tortoises, lemurs, flamingos, kangaroos, and more.
You'll also find the It's Tough to be a Bug! show (5 on map) and Wilderness Explorers (4 on map), where you can become a Wilderness Explorer by completing challenges across the park. Discovery Island is home to several dining areas, including some of the best Animal Kingdom restaurants like Tiffins Restaurant (12 on map), Flame Tree Barbecue (10 on map), and Nomad Lounge (13 on map). You'll also find shopping locations like Island Mercantile (16 on map) and Discovery Trading Company (17 on map) here.
Each of the main lands of the park is accessible from Discovery Island due to its central location, so you can access Oasis, Africa, Asia, Pandora, and DINOAND U.S.A. from here. You can see the map of Discovery Island below:

Pandora – The World of Avatar Map at Disney's Animal Kingdom
One of the most popular lands at Disney World, Pandora is located at the bottom left of the park map and is themed around the beautiful moon that the events of the movie Avatar take place on. It has one of the most beautiful designs of any Disney Park, with lush greenery and the iconic floating mountains of Pandora in the Flight of Passage queue (pictured above).
The land is home to two immersive rides: the beloved Avatar Flight of Passage (19 on map), which is one of the best rides at Animal Kingdom), and Na'vi River Journey (18 on map). You can purchase Individual Lightning Lane access to Avatar Flight of Passage at an a la carte rate, which we detail in our guide to Genie+ at Walt Disney World. Pandora is also home to dining locations like Pongu Pongu (2o on map) and the popular Satu'li Canteen (21 on map) as well as a shopping location, the Windtraders (22 on map).
Pandora is located in the lower Southwest corner of the park and is accessible from Discovery Island and the path coming from Africa. You can see a map of Pandora below:
DinoLand U.S.A. Map at Disney's Animal Kingdom
DinoLand U.S.A. is a land themed around dinosaurs located on the eastern side of the park (to the right of the map), and it has several fun attractions for kids especially, including a play area called the Boneyard (51 on map) and TriceraTop Spin (54 on map). It's also home to the underrated dark thrill ride DINOSAUR (55 on map), located in the bottom corner of the land. DinoLand U.S.A. also contains the live stage show Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! (53 on map) that retells the story of Nemo and his friends.
You'll also find a few dining locations here, including Restaurantosarus (56 on map) and quick-service locations including Dino-Bite Snacks serving ice cream and sweets (57 on map) as well as shopping locations like Chester & Hester's Dinosaur Treasures (60 on map). DinoLand U.S.A. is accessible from Discovery Island and Asia. While Disney has teased that DINOLAND U.S.A. will be replaced by Encanto and Indiana Jones, there hasn't been a timeline announced for this change yet.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Map of Asia
Asia is one of the larger lands at Disney's Animal Kingdom themed as the fictional kingdom of “Anandapur,” drawing inspiration from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Nepal, and Thailand. It's located in the upper right of the park on the map below, and it features favorite attractions like the rollercoaster Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain (39 on map) and Kali River Rapids (38 on map).
It also contains Maharajah Jungle Trek (37 on map), where you can find gibbons, Komodo dragons, water buffalo, flying foxes, over 50 species of birds, and more, as well as the show Feathered Friends in Flight! (36 on map).
Asia also contains several dining and snack locations, including the Anadapur Ice Cream Truck (46 on map), the popular Yak & Yeti Restaurant (43 on map), and much more.
As you can see on the map below, Maharajah Jungle Trek takes up a substantial portion of Asia, with the other attractions and dining locations stretched horizontally between Expedition Everest and Africa. Asia is accessible from Discovery Island, DinoLand U.S.A., and Africa. You can see a full map of Asia at Animal Kingdom:
Disney's Animal Kingdom Map of Africa
Africa is Animal Kingdom's largest land, featuring several types of animal experiences. The area, located in the Northwest part of the park, is centered in the village of Harambe and has a few attractions including the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail (25 on map) where you can see gorillas, hippos, and birds, and the famous Kilimanjaro Safaris (24 on map) where you can take a safari ride through the African savanna to see animals like lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.
Also included as part of Africa is a separate area only accessible via train, Rafiki's Planet Watch (26 on map), where you can learn about animal care and conversation. You can see that this area is boxed off separately from the rest of the map to indicate that you can't directly walk to it, as you must take the Wildlife Express Train to get there.
Africa features several dining locations, including the popular character dining destination Tusker House Restaurant (29 on map) and the Dawa Bar (28 on map) for drinks. You can also explore shopping locations including the Mombasa Marketplace (34 on map) and Zuri's Sweets Shop (35 on map).
As you can see in the map below, most of the attractions are clustered near the entrance, and a big part of the land is occupied by the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and Kilimanjaro Safaris as you go further north. Africa is accessible from Discovery Island, a path leading up from Pandora, and Asia. You can see the map of Africa below:
