While the Incredicoaster roller coaster at Disney California Adventure is a delight to ride during the day, the attraction is cooler at night with the special lighting effects on each tunnel of the attraction. Soon this nighttime ride experience will be enhanced even more!
For the first time, Disney will now operate the Incredicoaster during performances of “World of Color—ONE.”
The Incredicoaster, alongside other Pixar Pier attractions like Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and Jumpin’ Jellyfish that typically close earlier in the evening, will be open for later hours the OC Register is reporting. They report that the attractions “may” run later into the evening than usual as Disney conducts “operational tests.”

When Can You Ride the Incredicoaster During the “World of Color—One” Show?
The “World of Color—ONE” show runs at 9pm on most nights, with another performance at 10:15 on busier nights. The Incredicoaster, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, and Jumpin’ Jellyfish will not shut down as they normally do during these performances during these test periods. The tests will run over the “coming weeks.”
This new development will allow you to see the “World of Color—ONE” show from the most unique seats at the park as you fly by bursts of color dancing over the water and iconic scenes from favorite Disney Movies. A few attractions in Pixar Pier will remain closed during the “World of Color—One” performances, including Jessie’s Critter Carousel and Pixar-Pal-A-Round, while the operational tests are being conducted.
While we don't know for sure, Disney is likely testing for the sound emissions from the attractions to see if the screams from guests riding the attractions will impact the experience of guests watching World of Color. This seems like an obvious test to pursue and something that is worth even a slight disturbance to the experience of World of Color to keep the capacity of those attractions running throughout the evening. Though it is not a direct one-to-one comparison because no attraction serves as the backdrop of Fantasmic!, no major E-Ticket attractions have to shut down for the Fantasmic! performances.

The “World of Color—ONE” show, in honor of the Disney100 Celebration, is the first ever Disneyland nighttime spectacular to feature Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios in the same production. It features digital projections on water screens, colorful dancing fountains, a score of 18 musical compositions (including the original song “Start a Wave”), and characters from several featured Disney movies. The Incredicoaster serves as a massive backdrop for the show. Read more about the show in our guide to the Disney100 Celebration taking place at Disneyland!
As California Adventure undergoes this exciting new development, “Fantasmic!” at Disneyland is still closed for the time being after the Maleficent dragon caught on fire during one of the evening performances. Read more about details and longterm impact in our article about Disneyland's Fantasmic! accident, and we will keep you updated regarding reopening dates as the show undergoes adjustments.
The Orange County Register first reported the attraction operating extension. This unique experience is not to be missed, as the new perspective will make for beautiful ride experience at California Adventure!

I think this shows that world of color ONE is kinda a flop. The show is weird and tries to be emotional and just fails. I love world of color, this show just doesn’t do it for me. I would have cared if they ran the Incredicoaster during OG world of color. Now? Absolutely run it into the night – Night rides are epic on that ride!
