Holidays Arriving at Disneyland, Ride Closures Mid-Week, Dining Bookings Open, Price Increases Expected, and More ‘This Week’

Welcome back to Mickey Visit Disneyland This Week! Each week at Mickey Visit, we unearth key happenings that you could easily miss completely. We have all of the essential dates for your visit. See our last Mickey Visit Disneyland This Week here. This is your one-stop resource for everything happening at Disneyland the week of October 6, 2025. This week, we have news about a one-day ride closure, next movie night announcement, Thanksgiving Day dining reservations, and more.

Important Disneyland Dates This Week

Halloweentown is this week’s feature at Movie Nights at Downtown Disney Presented by M&M’S! Catch it on October 8 at 7 PM at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage & Lawn. This is a free but very popular event, so arrive early to snag a good spot!

Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes and Sailing Ship Columbia will both be closed from the 6-9th this week. This is part of a set of weekday closures in October.

The next closures will happen from the 13-16th and from the 20th to the 23rd of October. Make sure you stay up to date on all of the current and upcoming Disneyland ride closures and Disneyland October closures.

The cost of Disneyland Lightning Lane Premier Pass will hit an all-time high on Wednesday, October 8. This is most likely an early indication of general Disneyland price increases happening at the same time. You can see details on the increase and an overview of this premium line-skipping service here.

We expect Disneyland price increases will hit this week, based on past precedent. Over the past two years, this has been the time that Disneyland has increased prices for its Disneyland tickets, Magic Key passes, and Lightning Lane Multi Pass (formerly Genie+) service.

Our prediction is that the increases will happen on October 7 or 8. Given the timing of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass increase mentioned above, we are assuming it will be the 8th. See how to lock in the lower prices NOW before they are gone!

King Arthur Carrousel will be closing on Tuesday, October 7, for a quick refurbishment. This short closure joins the two other longer Fantasyland closures happening—Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train. We just got news that Storybook Land Canal Boats will be getting a new scene.

Holiday merch has officially started arriving in Downtown Disney and select park stores! More items will continue to roll in throughout October. For reference, last year the full holiday display debuted on October 29, so expect a similar timeline this year.

Show your same-day Oogie Boogie Bash ticket at Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio in Downtown Disney and get 10% off lunch (11 AM–3 PM) on event days! This is a good deal to take advantage of at this top Downtown Disney restaurant.

Partysaurus Rex made his very first appearance at Disney California Adventure! Find him partying on Pixar Pier and check the Disneyland app for his schedule.

Reservations open for Thanksgiving Day character dining at Storytellers Cafe and Goofy's Kitchen on Thursday, October 9. Reservations for these experiences will go quickly, so make sure you're ready to grab your spot! Oogie Boogie Bash will close Disney California Adventure early at 6 pm on Tuesday, October 7, Thursday, October 9, and Sunday, October 12. We expect crowds to increase going into the holiday weekend. Indigenous Peoples' Day/Columbus Day weekend is typically one of the busiest three-day weekends of the year, as it often aligns with fall school breaks in October.
