How to Skip the Radiator Springs Racers Line Without Lightning Lane Single Pass

Radiator Springs Racers is easily one of the best rides at the Disneyland Resort, from its incredible theming to its thrilling outdoor race. The ride has always been incredibly popular for good reason, but this also means that it consistently has one of the longest lines at the parks.

There are a few options available for accessing Radiator Springs Racers: waiting in the standby line, purchasing Lightning Lane Single Pass, or a third option that many tend to overlook.

We will take you through the absolute best way to skip the line for Radiator Springs Racers that you might not know about! This is our favorite way to skip the line for Radiator Springs Racers at Disneyland and is the main way that we ride the attraction.

Best Way to Skip the Line for Radiator Springs Racers

While it is certainly an option to wait in the standby line, wait times are routinely about 60-90 minutes long. Of course, many feel this wait is worth it for such an incredible ride, but it does take a large chunk out of your day to opt for the standby line. You can also take advantage of Lightning Lane Single Pass, which we will talk about more below.

The best way to skip the line, and our go-to every time, is utilizing the Radiator Springs Racers Single Rider line. With this option, you'll enter a separate line and be split up from your party as you fill spaces in the ride vehicles that are not occupied by parties in the standby line. Radiator Springs Racers has six seats, so often there is one extra seat in each vehicle that needs to be filled. With Single Rider, you'll often have a dramatically shorter wait than the standby line, and I've always found it moves relatively quickly.

Keep in mind that you will be separated from your party, and kids must be at least 7 years old to utilize Single Rider. You don't get a preference of which seat you receive with this option, so you won't be able to make requests in the Radiator Springs Racers Single Rider line because you're filling whichever space happens to be empty. If your child is 7 years or older and you think they would be comfortable riding separately, then this is a great option to take advantage of.

In my personal experience using the Radiator Springs Racers Single Rider line, I often find that other members of my party end up either in another row of the same car or in the car opposite of me during the final race, which makes for a fun dynamic! Of course, where other members of your party will end up can never be predicted, as they entirely depend on the spaces that need to be filled in the ride vehicles.

Lightning Lane Single Pass Option Instead of Radiator Springs Racers Single Rider

Radiator Springs Racers is one of the two rides at the Disneyland Resort that currently offer Lightning Lane Single Pass entry, which allows you to purchase access to the most highly demanded attractions at the park (outside of your Lightning Lane Multi Pass purchase). Radiator Springs Racers Lightning Lane Single Pass access typically doesn't cost as much as Rise of the Resistance does, but it can still add up if you have a larger party.

At the tail end of summer at Disneyland, this service costs $21 per person. For a family of five, this adds up to $105 to access the ride this way. This can get quite expensive, which is the reason why we always opt for Single Rider rather than Invidual Lightning Lane for this ride.
