First-Ever Mixology Course for Magic Key Holders

The Magic Key Terrace, an exclusive location for Magic Key holders and their guests in the Golden Vine Winery in Disney California Adventure Park, is hosting its first-ever mixology course. Magic Key holders can learn how to make a Millionaire’s Manhattan just like the lounge’s bartenders make it. The popular drink includes Old Forester bourbon, MacMurray Estate Pinot Noir, and simple syrup, and is topped with a charred cinnamon stick.

The event takes place on January 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17, 2027, at 12 p.m. PT and will last up to 1 hour. Guests 21 years and older are welcome, and the cost is $55 plus tax per guest. Up to 4 guests are allowed per party. Reservations aren’t available yet, but we’ll keep you updated when booking opens.

There’s a limit of 1 course per day per Magic Key holder, and the Magic Key holder has to be the person to make the reservation. Upon arrival, you’ll show your pass via the Disneyland app, as well as a valid photo ID. All guests will also need a park reservation and valid admission to enter Disney California Adventure. While the Magic Key holder has to make the reservation and be present for the mixology course, the eatery allows non-Magic Key guests to join.

Disneyland Magic Key Terrace

On top of getting an up-close look at what goes into mixology at Disneyland Resort, Magic Key holders who attend will also take home a cute, colorful keepsake glass.

The glass has bright illustrations designed by Jeff Granito and inspired by Disney California Adventure, including the Pixar-Pal-A-Round Ferris wheel, the Incredicoaster, Pixar Pier, and more.

The Magic Key Terrace is open for lunch and dinner, so if you think you’ll want to grab a bite sometime after your mixology course, make reservations online as the date approaches. Disneyland dining reservations open up 60 days in advance at 6 a.m. PT. The menu is American with Italian influences, and there are a handful of appetizers and entrees to choose from, plus signature cocktails.

Magic Key annual passholders are treated to an assortment of perks throughout the year. These special offers are constantly rotating, and it pays to take advantage of them as soon as you can so you don’t miss the chance.

Right now, current perks include the Haunted Mansion Holiday Lenticular Card Series, which has 4 collectible cards and a display frame, as well as an Artisanal-Style Pizza Combo at Alien Pizza Planet.

There are also excellent hotel discounts to take advantage of. Right now, Magic Key passholders can get up to 15% off at a Disneyland Resort hotel for Sunday through Thursday nights through December 18.

For stays in the new year, Magic Key holders can save up to 25% on select nights at a Disneyland Resort hotel for trips between January 4, 2027, and February 25, 2027. Passholders can also save up to 30% for select winter stays at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa for trips from January 3, 2027, to March 31, 2027.

More Mixology Classes at Disneyland Resort

While the upcoming Magic Key Terrace mixology class is the first one exclusively for Magic Key passholders, there are more classes like this at Disneyland Resort, and you don’t need an annual pass to join them!

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar in the Disneyland Hotel also has a Mixology Seminar that’s perfect for cocktail enthusiasts who love the island-inspired drinks the bar serves up. This 45-minute class teaches the art of creating delicious concoctions, and guests will get to try one specialty non-alcoholic drink and one signature cocktail.

There are two upcoming dates for the seminar:

  • November 16 at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. PT
    November 18 at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. PT

Tickets are $179 per adult, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations can be made on the Disneyland website or via the app. Space is limited to only 38 guests per seminar, so book early to make sure you get a spot. Guests must be 21 or older.

Following the seminar is a 45-minute reception at the outdoor tiki bar, where chilled and hot appetizers will be served. You’ll also be able to indulge in another drink with or without alcohol. Live musicians will keep the energy up, and attendees get to take home a Jack Skellington mug to remember the event.

Here’s another option for cocktail- and wine-lovers: During the next Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, which is usually held from early March to late April, guests can learn from Disney mixologists at the Sonoma Terrace Beverage Education Seminars. These guided tastings last about 30-40 minutes, and each one focuses on a particular spirit or selections from a certain wine producer.
