If I had the chance to redo Disneyland, the one thing I redo is add more places to buy DOLE Whip. DOLE whip is an absolute classic when it comes to Disneyland snacks. It's sweet. It's tangy. It's smooth. And it hits the spot on a hot California afternoon. S0me would even say a Disneyland trip is incomplete without having DOLE Whip.
But where are all the spots you can find DOLE Whip, and what flavors are offered?
We at MickeyVisit go to Disneyland monthly – it's safe to say we've had every flavor and combination of flavors of DOLE Whip more times than we're comfortable to share (hint: it's a lot).
Read on for every single place you can find DOLE Whip at Disneyland and all the possible flavors you can get!

The History of DOLE Whip at Disneyland
Believe it or not, DOLE Whip made its debut at Disney, but not at Disneyland.
The relationship between DOLE and Disney goes all the way back to 1976, when DOLE sponsored Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland Resort. At first, DOLE sold pineapple juice and fresh pineapple spears to Disneyland guests. But later in 1983, when DOLE also became the sponsor for Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom in Disney World, DOLE set out to create a new type of pineapple snack.
Enter the DOLE Whip.
Developed to be a non-dairy, dry-mix version of soft-serve ice cream that would withstand Florida's heat, DOLE whip first debut at Magic Kingdom in 1984 and then Disneyland Park in 1986.
The rest is history.

The Evolution of DOLE Whip
Over the years, there's been plenty of various flavors and variations on the ever-popular DOLE Whip.
While its most popular flavor – and its original flavor – is still pineapple, you can find flavors like orange, raspberry, mango, and even lime at different locations. You can get DOLE whip in a cup, in a cone, in a float over pineapple juice, or even in an alcoholic drink. The craze grew so big that DOLE even released box of pineapple DOLE whip at major grocery stores. You can even buy DOLE Pineapple Soft Serve Mix online!
Of course, DOLE Whip eventually was licensed to third party food-service companies, making it more readily available to the public. You can find it at county fairs and local dessert shops. And when you're staying at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, make sure to drive over to the Dole Plantation for the full “pineapple experience” and then grab a cup of DOLE Whip Soft Serve!
There is virtually no stopping when it comes to DOLE Whip.
Even COVID-19 Couldn't Stop the DOLE Whip Craze
Even when we couldn't visit our beloved Disney theme parks to get a taste of the wonderful DOLE Whip Soft Serve, Disney over-delivered.
In April of 2020, Disney sent a notification on the Disneyland Mobile App for a recipe on how to create a “frozen pineapple treat.” Check out the recipe (for a single serving) below:
- 1 big scoop of vanilla ice cream
- 4 oz of pineapple juice
- 2 cups of frozen pineapple
The directions for this snack are quite simple:
- Add the ingredients to a blender
- Blend until smooth
- Make a swirl with your blended ingredients
- Enjoy!
Granted, the original DOLE Whip Soft Serve was meant to be non-dairy. Thus, the addition of ice cream to this snack recipe didn't quite make it the DOLE Whip Soft Serve we all knew and loved. The obvious way to get around this however is to use dairy-free ice cream to get as close to the real DOLE Whip Soft Serve as possible.
And in the midst of what became a global pandemic, this recipe brought major relief and a little Disney magic to the Disney parks fans in all of us.
Let's go over where you can get DOLE Whip at Disneyland Resort.
Where to Find DOLE Whip at Disneyland Park
Since it was first introduced, DOLE Whip has only grown more and more popular, even extending out to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in 2011 and Disney Cruise Line in 2017.
What makes DOLE whip so special at Disneyland Park is its tie-in with the theming of Adventureland. Giving off a feeling of exploration in tropical places unknown, DOLE whip fits right in with the Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, The Jungle Cruise, and even Pirates of the Caribbean.
And how could you not cool off by sitting down and feasting on a cup of soft-serve, pineapple goodness?
There are 2 spots you can find DOLE Whip inside Disneyland Park:
Tiki Juice Bar
Can you believe that when Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room first opened in 1963, there were no snacks served next to it?
It took 5 years for Disneyland to add the Tiki Juice Bar, a kiosk cart, to the outside waiting area of this attraction. Today, you'll find the simple-but-classic pineapple DOLE Whip and the DOLE Whip Float here. This makes it a great spot to grab a nice cold snack before heading in to hear “all the birds sing words and the flower croon.”
- DOLE Whip Pineapple Soft Serve ($6.49)
- DOLE Whip Float ($7.29): DOLE Pineapple Juice topped with DOLE Whip Pineapple Soft Serve
Keep in mind that you can purchase your DOLE Whip snack via Mobile Order on the Disneyland Mobile App.
The Tropical Hideaway
If you're looking for more variety in your DOLE Whip, look no further than The Tropical Hideaway.
Located in between Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room and the exit of The Jungle Cruise, The Tropical Hideaway is the perfect place to sit down for a break in between rides. This quick-service location is designed as a lush, trader's market with exotic eats. Here, you can soak in the sights and sounds of a bustling bazaar-style atmosphere. You can even look over the open-air dock along the Jungle Cruise waterfront and meet Rosita, who's starting her solo career away from the bird chorus at the Enchanted Tiki Room!
It's here where you'll find more adventurous flavors of DOLE Whip. You can even get DOLE Whip in swirl form:
- DOLE Whip Soft Serve ($6.49): Choose between Strawberry, Pineapple, or Mango
- Chile-Mango Whip ($8.49): Pineapple and mango Swirl DOLE Whip, chamoy, mango, and chile-lime seasoning
- Pineapple Coconut Float ($9.29): Blue DOLE Pineapple-Coconut Juice topped with DOPE Whip Pineapple Soft Serve, Strawberry Lava, and a gummy
- DOLE Whip Pineapple Ginger Mint Float ($8.49): with pineapple-ginger juice and smoked salt-spiced rim
- DOLE Whip Float ($7.29): DOLE Pineapple Juice topped with DOLE Whip Pineapple Soft Serve
- DOLE Whip Swirl ($6.49): swirl any 2 flavors: strawberry, pineapple, or mango
- DOLE Whip Float Swirl Float ($7.29): DOLE Pineapple Juice topped with your choice of 2 different DOLE Whip flavors: strawberry, pineapple, or mango
The Tropical Hideaway also sells really tasty snacks that are worth a try, including different types of bao buns and the sweet and tangy Chamoy Watermelon Rings!
Where to Find DOLE Whip Beyond the Theme Parks
Here's the thing when it comes to DOLE Whip at Disneyland Resort: There are not enough places to get DOLE Whip!
Yes, you have 2 spots at Disneyland Park to find DOLE Whip. Yes, they're both great spots and one of them has a ton of different flavors. You can even get specialty flavors and seasonal flavors.
But outside of Disneyland Park, you really only have 1 other location to purchase DOLE Whip:
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill
Located at The Disneyland Hotel, Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill is the perfect spot to take a mid-day break from the Disney theme parks and score a serving of DOLE Whip while you're at it.
From Disneyland, you'll need to take the short walk through Downtown Disney, exit the security gate, and head toward The Disneyland Resort pool area. Here, you'll find the walk-up quick-service location that offers DOLE Whip soft serves and floats, along with Big Island-inspired foods. This is also where you'll find the only alcoholic drink with DOLE Whip in all of Disneyland Resort!
- DOLE Whip Pineapple Soft Serve ($6.50)
- DOLE Whip Float ($7.00)
- DOLE Whip Float with a Splash of Rum ($14.00)
And if you're looking for a more hearty meal, Tangaroa Terrace serves up some great breakfast, lunch, and dinner food options. Many of their lunch and dinner menu items are also served next door!
Don't forget though, if you're looking for an even more immersive experience outside the Disney theme parks (and an adult beverage), make sure to head next door to Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar!
