Disneyland Bringing R-Rated Marvel Character to Parks, the Crowds Will Be Massive

One of the biggest strengths of Avengers Campus at Disneyland is the way it consistently incorporates different characters to align with movie releases. We’ve seen popular characters doing meet and greets in the park like the Scarlet Witch, Nick Fury, Ms. Marvel, and even the Werewolf from Werewolf by Night.

One of the most popular R rated Marvel characters, known for his hilarious obscenity, is now coming to Disneyland.

This is one character I was surprised to see announced and he is going to be very popular with guests!

Deadpool Coming to Disney California Adventure

Deadpool Disneyland

The newest Deadpool film, Deadpool & Wolverine, releases in theaters on July 25th. Deadpool & Wolverine will establish Deadpool’s official introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is one of the most highly anticipated Marvel films in quite some time.

One of the things that Avengers Campus does best at Disney California Adventure is incorporating new characters from upcoming films and Disney+ series into the parks right away. There is no strict timeline at Avengers Campus, which is the biggest limitation of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which leaves them free to bring any characters into the land.

In honor of the new film, Deadpool will be greeting guests for the first time at a Disney Park at both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris.

When Does Deadpool Come to Disneyland?

Deadpool Disneyland

Deadpool will be greeting guests at Avengers Campus beginning July 26th. No official word yet on how long Deadpool will be available in the parks.

Usually new characters stick around for the duration of time that the film is in theaters and maybe even after depending on their popularity.

Deadpool Is Disney’s Most Popular R Rated Characters

I anticipate we’ll see large crowds at Disney California Adventure for Deadpool’s debut as he’s one of Disney’s most popular R rated characters. In fact, this is the first time in recent memory we’ve even seen an R rated character doing meet and greets in the parks.

This will be one of the most popular meet and greets Avengers Campus has seen in a long time! Deadpool is an extremely popular Marvel character and it’s somewhat unusual to see a character that’s known for his obscenity to be in the Disney parks.

Parents shouldn’t worry about any inappropriate comments though, I am sure Disney will change his park dialogue to fit the family environment. And I am also sure that is something the character will make reference to and make jokes about!
