Walt Disney World Lightning Lane Multi Pass is the paid skip-the-line service at the Walt Disney World Resort that gives you access to separate, shorter lines for popular attractions. This service is essential for making the most of your time at the parks, especially if you are visiting during a crowded time of year.
This page includes an overview of how Lightning Lane Multi Pass works at Walt Disney World, pricing, attractions included, and key itineraries incorporating this service.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World’s line-skipping service was previously known as FastPass+ before it was replaced by the paid service Genie+, and it has now been renamed Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Lightning Lane Multi Pass starts at $15 per day per person after tax at Walt Disney World and can go as high as $39 per person, per day. The most common price is around $25 per day and it’s rare to see the cost of Lightning Lane Multi Pass on the lowest end of the spectrum.
Guests staying on-site at a Walt Disney World hotel can purchase Lightning Lane a week before their check in date while all other guests can purchase three days before their visit. This means that on-site guests get first dibs on availability for booking advance selections for rides.
Guests can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass prior to their visit and book up to 3 Lightning Lane selections in advance for each day. You will be able to choose from a variety of available times for these advance Lightning Lane selections. This means you can effectively visit Walt Disney World knowing you have at least three Lightning Lane reservations available for each park day.
Once guests enter the park, they will be able to make additional Lightning Lane selections once they use one of their selections on the My Experience App. Each time you redeem your Lightning Lane selection you can then book your next one.
The service includes over 20 popular attractions across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These are the rides that are included with Lightning Lane Multi Pass at each park:

Once you redeem a selection on the day of your park visit, you can choose another available multi pass experience from either group.
You can book Lightning Lane entry once per attraction each day with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. To redeem your selection, you’ll scan your Lightning Lane reservation code at the entrance to the attraction. If you want to ride an attraction more than once in a day, you need to use the standby or Single Rider line, or you can redeem a Multiple Experiences Pass (which is what you receive if a ride breaks down) for entry. You can book a new Lightning Lane reservation once you have redeemed one and can hold up to three at a time.
If you want to change your Lightning Lane return window, you can use the “modify plan” option to look for other times without needing to cancel your original window. See how we use this trick to get the Lightning Lane we want almost every time.
One person can be in charge of Lightning Lane selections for their entire group, as long as their tickets are linked in the My Disney Experience app. When you go to make a Lightning Lane reservation, you can select and deselect the members of your party experiencing the attraction. This means that you can make a reservation for everyone, just yourself, or other people in your group without personally going on the ride.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass does not include Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Avatar Flight of Passage, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Tron Lightcycle / Run, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. To experience these rides, you will need to purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass, which is a separate per-person cost for entry for each of these two rides. These two systems do not interact with one another, and you can hold a Lightning Lane Single Pass reservation and Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservation simultaneously. See our guide to Lightning Lane Single Pass tips & pricing for more details.
If a ride breaks down during the time you have a Lightning Lane return window booked for it, you will get a Multiple Experience Pass that you can use on other attractions in the park. These do not have the same one-ride-per-attraction restriction that regular Lightning Lanes booked through Lightning Lane Multi Pass do, so you can use these to experience your favorites more than once. If you get a Multiple Experience Pass for one of the “top tier” attractions at each park, you will be able to redeem it for entry to any other Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction.
