Disney World is Opening a New Food Location Alongside Ride Coming This Summer (See Full Menu)

Walt Disney World is about to unveil a new version of a classic thrill ride and a new food location to go along with it. As with most ride openings in the modern theme park era, food is a crucial part of the equation, as evidenced by guests spending more on dining.

A full menu of new food is debuting at a reimagined dining location in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to accompany the relaunch of a major ride. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opens on May 26, 2026, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, permanently replacing the former Aerosmith version of the ride. See all the details about the ride itself, including celebrity musician guests, here.

Outside in the attraction’s courtyard, FØØD by Swedish Chef will be a new food truck dining location, named after the Muppets’ culinary icon whose recipes never quite go according to plan.

FØØD by Swedish Chef replaces KRNR The Rock Station, the food truck’s previous name during the Aerosmith era. While the physical truck is the same, this is a big overhaul of the menu.

This item is also available without the soft-serve. The non-soft-serve version can add Bacardi Superior Rum or Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

FØØD by Swedish Chef will also continue serving items from the KRNR The Rock Station menu, including mini corn dogs, nachos, mini churros, frozen Coca-Cola, a Coca-Cola float, a root beer float, ice cream, and sodas. The only previous menu items Disney didn’t mention in the Swedish Chef reveal were alcoholic drinks: Bud Light Lager Draft, Jack Daniel’s Whiskey with Coca-Cola, and Truly Wild Hard Seltzer.

New Muppets Audio-Animatronics Revealed

In tandem with the food menu reveal, Disney shared first-look photos of some of the Audio-Animatronics figures in the preshow for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

Before boarding the coaster, guests will visit a recording studio, where Scooter, band manager for the Electric Mayhem, is overseeing a session with penguin audio engineers.

Puppeteer David Rudman performed as Scooter in motion-capture so that Imagineers could program the character’s Audio-Animatronics likeness to match the puppet’s familiar movements.

Penguin Audio-Animatronics figures were previously part of the orchestra pit in Muppet*Vision 3D, an attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that permanently closed in 2025, along with several other attractions, to make way for an upcoming Monstropolis land. These penguin engineers may be those same repurposed figures from Muppet*Vision 3D or new builds.

Disney World’s Busy Summer of New Attractions

In addition to the opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, May 26 is a big day for new attraction openings at all four Disney World theme parks. That same day, Jessie’s Roundup: A Rip-Roarin’ Revue will premiere at Magic Kingdom, Soarin’ Across America will open at EPCOT, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station will open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

May 26 is also the kick-off of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, a season continuing through September 8 with special perks for families with young kids.

These follow the May 22 opening of a new version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the updated ride featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, both at Magic Kingdom, have also recently completed major refurbishments, now sporting updated special effects and new story moments.
