Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival
Spring begins to bloom at Disney World as the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is happening during the entire month of April! This annual event brings beautiful gardens, playgrounds, and great entertainment. Even if you aren't into gardening, be sure to get a picture by the freshly trimmed hedges near the Imagination pavilion.
NEW-Cirque du Soleil Show
Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Animation Studios have collaborated with Cirque du Soleil to create a show of Disney storytelling with Cirque du Soleil’s signature artistry. Previews for the new show will continue during the first part of April leading up to the world premiere on April 17. It's likely that previews will only be for Annual Passholders but there is a chance they will be offered to the general public too. Starting April 17th anyone can enjoy this spectacular new show.
Party for the Planet
April 20-22nd Disney's Animal Kingdom will hold an Earth-Day celebration that includes interactive activities and animal encounters to celebrate conservation.
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend
Star Wars Rival Run Weekend takes place at the beginning of April. If you're a Star Wars fan, you won't want to want to miss this event. There are runs for fans of every age, including children races, a half marathon, and a 5 and 10K.
Disney After Hours Events
Disney After Hours events takes place on selects nights this month at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. This special ticketed event allows guests to experience the park after the crowds have gone for evening and enjoy low waits for top rides.

Disney World in April Crowd Calendar
April sees a larger upswing in crowds between the impact of spring break and Easter. But the bright side in higher crowd levels is that Disney will increase their entertainment hours and operating hours which makes the news of higher crowd levels a bit more welcome.
Staying on site is a big plus for visiting Disney World in April so you can navigate those spring break crowds much easier by being close by and taking advantage of Disney's Extra Magic Hours will allow you early and later access into the parks.

Visiting Disney World in April is a great time of year for guests that want to avoid rain since April is a relatively dry month with the lowest humidity and chance of rain. The warm weather starts to increase in April in Florida though so you can expect to experience some heat! The average high in April is 82 degrees with the average low being 63 degrees.
