Disney World in April Crowd Calendar

April sees a larger upswing in crowds between the impact of spring break and Easter. But the bright side in higher crowd levels is that Disney will increase their entertainment hours and operating hours which makes the news of higher crowd levels a bit more welcome.

Staying on site is a big plus for visiting Disney World in April so you can navigate those spring break crowds much easier by being close by and taking advantage of any resort guest perks that may be offered.

You an expect some larger crowds surrounding the opening day for TRON and the return of Happily Ever After. As always, consulting a good crowd calendar (like this guide!) is a great way to anticipate any hectic days at Walt Disney World.

Visiting Disney World in April is a great time of year for guests that want to avoid rain since April is a relatively dry month with the lowest humidity and chance of rain. The warm weather starts to increase in April in Florida though so you can expect to experience some heat! The average high in April is 82 degrees with the average low being 63 degrees.

April in Disney World can also bring with it a little windy weather which can mark for a nice warm and breezy day.

Tips for Visiting Disney World in April

When it comes to visiting Disney World in April, we have some tried and true hacks for having a magical time on your vacation.

What to Wear

One of the most frequently asked guest questions is: what should I wear to Disney World? Always check the weather leading up to your trip. April is one of the best months of the year when it comes to great weather at Disney World! You should plan for hot days since the average high easily reaches the 80s so pack the summer clothes, sunblock, and everything you need to stay. While the chance for rain is really small, it’s always a good idea to still bring those rain ponchos any time you visit Florida.

What to Pack

April brings such warm weather that you should pack for summer! Think summer clothes, sunscreen, cooling towels, and whatever else you might need to keep your family cooled off if the temperatures get high. Always check the weather right before your trip and come prepared based on what the forecast says.

You can read our giant packing list here to make sure you show up prepared for literally anything you need while you’re visiting Disney World.
