Some of the most popular Walt Disney World restaurants are now implementing changes in how guests get a spot inside. Most of the lounges at Disney World are highly sought after, with most of them making our top hardest-to-get reservation lists.
This recent change to reservation access for these top Disney World lounges might signal changes in how reservations work at some of the most in-demand locations. Let's get into the details of these changes and what they mean for the most popular lounges. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including the newest Disney rides and additions for 2027 and this often overlooked makeover experience that might be better than Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Two Popular Lounges Adding Walk-Up Lists
There are numerous popular themed lounges at Disney World, all of which are incredibly highly sought after. Some of these include Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at Disney's Polynesian Resort, GEO-82 Bar and Lounge and Space 220 Lounge at EPCOT, Oga's Cantina at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom. All of these lounges are hard to access, with some of them being some of the toughest reservations to get in Disney World.

Trader Sam's Grog Grotto no longer offers reservations and instead just offers a walk-up list for guests who are located nearby. It's not uncommon to see a long line of guests waiting outside for the lounge to open each day. Switching to a walk-up list was one way this lounge changed to deal with its immense popularity and make it easier for guests to experience it.
Now, this change appears to be coming to two other popular lounges. First, Beak and Barrel is now showing a “Join Walk-Up List Now” button on the My Experience App. While the button is not active yet, based on past additions like this, the button shows up a few days before it goes active. If you tap on it currently, it will just show this error message: “Unable to Search for Availability Right Now. Please try again later, or make a reservation under ‘Check Dining Availability' within the app.”
Beak and Barrel has been incredibly popular since it opened, making it one of the hardest to get reservations at Magic Kingdom. This Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge operates similarly to Oga's Cantina in Disney's Hollywood Studios, with themed drinks with a two-drink maximum and mix-and-match seating. One of the highlights of the lounge has been the Audio-Animatronic parrot, which cruises back and forth behind the bar. Offering a walk-up list for this popular themed lounge gives guests in the park more spontaneous opportunities to experience it instead of fighting for reservations 60 days in advance every time.
GEO-82 Bar and Lounge in EPCOT has just followed suit and also added the feature for a Walk-Up List on the My Experience App. The same error message is shown when trying to push the button, signaling that the feature will be coming shortly. GEO-82, also known as the “Spaceship Earth Bar,” is reserved just for guests ages 21 and up, but that doesn't hurt its popularity.
Similar to Beak and Barrel, its status as a lounge rather than a full restaurant means the seating is more limited, making reservations hard to come by. This fun, adult-only theme park experience has been incredibly popular and offers great views of EPCOT.

Right now, it doesn't appear that these two lounges will become available only with a walk-up list, like Trader Sam's Grog Grotto is. But that is a move that seems to be growing more popular at Disney in general, with Oga's Cantina at Disneyland only operating with a walk-up list instead of offering advance dining reservations.
