We often sing the praises of one of the most relaxing spots in all of Walt Disney World. Even on a busy theme park day, guests can find calm and respite in a haven at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We love the new menu introduced here earlier this year. It’s a not-so-hidden secret among fans, and Disney made some announcements about this favorite spot.
3 changes are coming to this popular theme park lounge. In this story, we’ll break down what’s new and how it may affect your trip. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including Disney cruise discounts for upcoming sailings and the closure end date for an upcoming Magic Kingdom ride refurbishment.

Reservations Launching
Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom perfected the concept of a theme park lounge so well that we suspect it played a role in successive lounges opening throughout other Disney theme parks. This trend continues with new lounges that opened just this month at Magic Kingdom and at Disney’s BoardWalk.
Nomad Lounge currently operates with a walk-up list. The dining location doesn’t adhere to Disney World’s typical advanced dining reservation (ADR) protocols, which usually allow guests to make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. The only way to dine at Nomad Lounge is by joining the walk-up list once you’re physically at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can do this through the My Disney Experience app.

Starting October 28, 2026, Nomad Lounge will launch a reservation system for visits starting on November 8. Disney says the waitlist will continue to be offered, but will be limited.
With Nomad Lounge launching advanced reservations, we assume that its reservation policies will align with other Disney restaurants in being available 60 days in advance, but we’ll have to wait until October 28 to know for sure.

Mobile Ordering Added for 1 Menu Item
In addition to its waitlist-only status, an absence of mobile ordering options is another way in which Nomad Lounge has strayed from the Disney norm.
Effective October 2026, Nomad Lounge offers mobile ordering via My Disney Experience, but only for its mini-churros. Guests can now purchase and enjoy the lounge’s signature dessert on the go. This staple of Nomad Lounge comes with vanilla crema and apple butter.
The mini-churros cost $11. Diners can find them in Disney’s app by searching “Nomad Lounge To-Go”.
Passholder Meal Deal
Walt Disney World annual passholders can take advantage of a special perk at Nomad Lounge from October 20 to December 18, 2026, from 3:00 PM to closing time daily.
During this period, passholders can order a discounted combo of 2 small plates and 2 beverages for $49. This will generally save you $20, depending on your selections, compared to the price of ordering the same items without the deal.
The deal applies to all Nomad Lounge food except for the charcuterie board. For beverages, it applies to select alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.
See more about this and other passholder perks happening in October, November, and December.
