Disney Dream Cruise Line Ship to Receive NEW Marvel Updates, Hercules Lounge

Disney Dream is one of the best ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet for its stellar layout including a private pool deck for teens and one of the best spa views that look out over the water.

The Disney Dream is one of the newer Disney Cruise Line ships and one of the most popular among frequent cruisers. Disney continues to expand their offerings with the Disney Cruise Line with a brand new ship, Disney Treasure, debuting later this year and their largest ship ever coming to the Asia market next year.

But if there’s one thing Disney does well is to continue to update their current ships with the Disney Dream lined up next to receive a new concierge lounge, suite, and updates to the popular kids club.

The Oceaneer Club, meant for ages 3-10, will receive a new lab inspired by the the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, or “WEB” for short.

Tween Club Gets New Deck Space, Dance Floor

One of the best parts of the Disney Dream is this is one of the only cruise ships that offers an exclusive outdoor deck space for teens at the Vibe. Now that access will be shared, likely at different times, with the tween club Edge for kids ages 11-14.

The Edge will move up to Deck 5 within easy access to the outdoor deck which features a ball pit and recreational games. The update to the Edge will also include a club lounge and new dance floor.

These updates to the older tween club are great especially since that exclusive deck space is one of the most unique things about the Disney Dream and was one my son’s favorite parts of his experience in the Vibe on our recent Disney Cruise.

New Hercules Lounge Announced

Hercules lounge concept art

A brand new expanded concierge lounge inspired by the Disney Animation film, “Hercules,” is also coming to the Disney Dream. This “ethereal lounge” will have light, airy details and colors inspired by the clouds of Mount Olympus. In the concept art above we can see a mural on the far wall featuring Mount Olympus from the film.

What would make this lounge great is if any of the popular music from the film is also brought into the space. This could be possible as the announcement from Disney mentioned that concierge guests will sing “bless my soul!” in the “harmonious fashion of the Muses” as they enter the space.

I love when Disney incorporates Disney Animated classics into guest experiences! Disney Cruise Line is especially good at that as we can see from the recent announcement of a Disney Animated film “Aristocats” lounge coming to the Disney Treasure.

NEW Suite Inside Disney Dream’s Forward Funnel

Disney Dream new suite

In one of the other unique aspects of the Disney Dream’s layout and design, there is a brand new suite coming to the INSIDE of the Disney Dream forward funnel.

The Dream Tower Suite is inspired by the stern’s character, Sorcerer Mickey, and will feature two stories themed to the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Fantasia,” and its beloved sequence, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.”

Disney new suite

This concierge suite showcases “gilded features” that reflect the art deco motif of the Disney Dream and immerse guests in Sorcerer Mickey’s magic with celestial-inspired surroundings, carpet designs inspired by flowing water, and a chandelier inspired by Mickey’s control of the waves.

This new concierge suite can sleep up to 8 guests with 2 main bedrooms, a library/bedroom, and a children’s room. The suite offers four and a half baths plus a large, 2-story living area including a grand spiral staircase.

The entire suite looks like it’s right out of a fairytale meant for guests looking for the most luxurious experience.

Disney Dream Updates Continue with Spa Upgrades, NEW Food

That’s not the rest of the updates the Disney Dream will receive! The spa will get a refreshed check-in area and expand to offer more treatment rooms. There will also be a new quick service dining option on Deck 11 that features a new cantina with tacos, burritos, and bowls.
