The cost of a California Adventure ticket depends on which ticket Disneyland ticket type you purchase.
Additionally, your total cost will also depend on which tier it is, and the tier most closely relates to the date you choose to visit. More expensive tiers tend to fall on days that are expected to be more crowded, such as 3-day weekends or holidays. On the other hand, less expensive tiers tend to fall on weekdays or off-peak times when crowds are expected to be lower. When selecting your ticket type, you must select both the day (or days) you’re visiting and the theme park you want to visit for each day.

1-Day California Adventure Ticket Prices
One-Day trips to 1 park per day (at either Disney California Adventure or Disneyland Park) fall into 1 of 7 tiers, with tier 0 being the least expensive and Tier 6 being the most expensive.

Park Hopper California Adventure Ticket Prices
The final ticket option guests have is a Park Hopper Ticket which allows them to go back and forth between California Adventure and Disneyland Park.
This means that guests can start their day at Disneyland Park and end their day in Disney California Adventure, vice versa, or even hop between parks multiple times in 1 day. The Park Hopper Ticket option becomes very useful when guests realize that Disneyland Park is just a 1-minute walk away from the front entrance of California Adventure!
Park Hopper Tickets are available for 1-Day Tickets or Multi-Day Tickets at varying add-on costs. When booking, guests choose which theme park to start in. After 11am on the day of their visit, guests can then enjoy either park.

So it should come as no surprise that Walt Disney World not only has a special resort for military personnel. California Resident Ticket Offers
Occasionally, both Disneyland and California Adventure have California Resident ticket offers.
For the first half of 2024, for example, Southern California Residents living within ZIP codes 90000-93599 can visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure could choose between 2 options for a special 3-Day, 1-Park Per Day Ticket on select days between January 2 and June 2, 2024:
- Monday – Thursday only: $225
- Any day: $275
Eligible residents may purchase up to 5 tickets per day and must present a valid government-issued photo ID for purchase and admission.
Wholesale Resale Stores
With wholesale resale shopping becoming more and more popular, stores such as Sam’s Club and Costco occasionally sell discounted California Adventure tickets. Keep in mind that many of these stores don’t usually advertise their discounts. However, if you frequently shop there, you’re more than likely to catch them at the right time.
Discounted Disney Gift Cards
A popular strategy among guests who frequent Disneyland and Walt Disney World is to purchase Disney gift cards at a discounted price. Guests can then use these gift cards toward the purchase of their theme park tickets. The most popular example is using a Target RedCard credit card to take 5% off the face value of a disney gift card purchased at Target. Discounted California Adventure Tickets Through AAA
If you’re a AAA insurance member, you’re in luck. AAA typically offers discounts for its members through its website, sometimes allowing you to save up to 30% off of regular gate prices. AAA members can purchase tickets through the AAA website, in-person, or through telephone.
Employment Offices
Many employment offices offer some type of access to discounted theme park tickets. The best way to learn about these discounts is to check with your human resources department when planning your Walt Disney World vacation.
Discount California Adventure Tickets: Magic Key Pass
The Disneyland Resort Magic Key Program is Disneyland’s annual pass program that gives guests who want to frequent the Disney parks the opportunity to come back again and again without having to pay for tickets at each visit.
There are 4 tiers of Magic Keys with various levels of discounts and perks and reservation-based admission to the park outside of blockout dates. The higher tiers are the most expensive but offer more valuable benefits while the lower tiers are more affordable but have more limitations and blockout dates.

Inspire Key ($1,649)
This is the highest Magic Key tier and comes with the least amount of blockout dates. The added benefits are as follows:

Depending on which ticket type you choose, a 1-Day adult ticket to Disneyland can cost between $104 and $194. The price for this ticket type largely depends on the predicted crowd levels on the day you choose to visit.
Occasionally, Costco does sell Disneyland tickets at a discounted price. However, wholesale stores like Costco usually don’t advertise their discounts, but if you frequently shop there, you’re more than likely to catch them at the right time.
