Disneyland Resort Hotel Discounts 2024 (Updated Spring 2024)
One of the best ways to make your Disney trip magical is to stay in a Disneyland Resort hotel. Many guests are always on the lookout for any available Disneyland Resort hotel discounts to help offset the cost of an on-property Disney stay. The best discounts depend on the time of year you visit along with any applicable promotions like being a Magic Key holder or military/veteran.
Disneyland also follows a pretty traditional pattern of when they release hotel discounts throughout the year. You can usually count on these discounts ranging anywhere from 10% to 25% off depending on the time of the year. These are the discounts specifically for staying at one of the three Disney-owned hotels next to the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Resort Hotel Discounts 2024
This is where we will track all the current Disneyland Resort hotel discounts throughout the year and keep you up to date on the most current offers.
Spring 2024 Disneyland Hotel Discount
Disney Visa Cardmembers can book now through March 4, 2024, for up to 25% at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and 25% at the Disneyland Hotel including the Villas at the Disneyland Hotel. This offer only applies to a four-night minimum stay.
All other guests can save up to 20% on Sunday to Thursday night stays at the Grand Californian or 15% at the Disneyland Hotel including the Villas.
Both these discounts are available for travel dates from January 15th, 2024 through March 7th, 2024.
This is a HUGE discount for Disneyland in the Spring! We rarely see Disneyland hotel discount offers for 25% off, especially for the Disneyland Hotel, so this deal is a good one to take advantage of as soon as possible. But one notable difference from past discounts is that the new Pixar Place, which opens on January 30th, 2024, is absent from this sales offer. This is to be expected since this is a new hotel and will be a large draw for guests visiting Disneyland. I imagine we will see it join the lineup of discounts later in 2024.

Disney Visa Cardmembers (credit and debit) are also eligible for discounts throughout the year. Often these discounts are released before other general discounts and give cardholders the chance to book first.

Disneyland Resort Hotels Magic Key Discount 2024
Magic Key holders are usually offered discounts throughout the year that average 20% to 25% off hotel stays. The current discounts for 2024 include:
- Save up to 25% Sunday through Thursday nights from January 15th 2024 through March 7th 2024.
More information on the Magic Key Disneyland hotel discounts can be found on the special offers page on the Disneyland website. If you have a Magic Key, generally this will be the best price for your stay.
Disneyland Military Discounts
Active or retired members of the US military are eligible for discounts at the Disney property hotels. To be considered, you must be an active or retired member of the US military, including the National Guard, Reservists, the US Coast Guard, US Space Force, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Spouses of military service members also qualify if they are able to present valid and active US military IDs in the absence of active military personnel.
The 2024 offer is valid from January 2 through December 13, 2024.

Disneyland Historical Discounts
Disneyland follows a pretty set pattern for when they offer hotel discounts throughout the year. This is good information to have as it can help you plan when are the best times throughout the year to visit for discounts. Disneyland only has three on-property hotels so in comparison to Walt Disney World, you will see generally higher prices at their three hotels since there are not as many options. This makes trying to plan for a discount even more helpful!
Let's look at historical Disneyland discounts to see what times of the year hotel sales take place. In 2023 and now the start of 2024, Disneyland has offered hotel discounts during these months:
- January 15 – March 7, 2024
- March 12 – June 8, 2023
- August 1 – September 30, 2023
- October 22 – December 21, 2023
Keep in mind that these discounts usually apply to Sunday through Thursday nights and won't be applied to weekend nights. These discounts ranged from 10% to 30% with the higher range of discounts applied to the most costly hotel and premium rooms.
So far the discounts released in 2023 align pretty closely to what we saw in 2022 so it's safe to say we'll see this trend continue for the rest of the year in 2024.
Are The Disneyland Hotel Discounts Worth It?
Staying at an on-property Disneyland hotel will always be more expensive than any of the other local area hotels which are often referred to as Good Neighbor hotels. So off the bat, that's one thing to recognize if you want to stay at any of the Disneyland hotels. The three Disneyland hotels listed from highest cost to lowest are the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel, and the newly rethemed Pixar Place. If you are familiar with Walt Disney World's hotel categorization of deluxe, moderate and value these hotels would all fall in the deluxe with the exception of Paradise Pier in the moderate category.
There are some great perks to staying on-site at Disneyland hotels including Early Entry every day into the theme parks, resort package delivery, and exclusive park entrances. But one thing that I love about staying at a Disney hotel is the feeling of staying in the “Disney bubble” during your stay. To me, that's one of the reasons I greatly enjoy staying on-site. Whether this is all worth it or not is going to be subjective- as is any costly expense!
You will save the most money on your stay if you plan it during a time when Disneyland offers hotel discounts. The best offers throughout the year are usually the ones that include all room types (not the offers for only premium rooms) especially those you find earlier in the year. Magic Key holders and military typically receive the best offers but it's always good practice to check!
