Many new changes for Disney World have been announced recently. Most of those changes will be coming to the four theme parks, but Disney Springs has also been experiencing some major changes over the course of the year. The shopping and dining complex often sees its third-party vendors entering and departing to keep the area ever-evolving for guests.
These changes will be continuing, as a restaurant will be closing soon, and will be ending the longstanding partnership Disney has with a celebrity chef. Keep reading to see which restaurant is closing, and some details on the space. Celebrity Chef Restaurant Closing at Disney Springs

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is a 250-seat restaurant owned by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck in the Town Center area of Disney Springs. It offers brunch, lunch, and dinner dishes influenced by Mediterranean flavors and California cuisine. Each menu includes pizza options, pasta options, and entrees unique to all three offerings. The restaurant opened in November 2018. The restaurant was announced as part of a slate of new locations that included Jaleo and The Edison.
This restaurant is far from Wolfgang Puck’s first venture with Disney. Disney Springs and Downtown Disney before it has been home to three different Wolfgang Puck’s locations. His first restaurant opened in 1997 in Disney Springs when it was Downtown Disney. That spot, which was actually not owned by Wolfgang Puck, closed in 2017, being reworked into Jaleo by José Andrés. Wolfgang Puck Express, a separate dining undertaking, operated in the Marketplace region before it closed in October 2020. That location is now one of our favorite quick service spots in Disney Springs.

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill will be closing permanently on September 14 after serving guests on September 13 as the last day, according to WDW Magic. A reason behind this closure has not been released yet.

There has also been no news on a potential replacement, whether that be another dining location or a retail vendor. With this closing date approaching quickly, it is possible that Disney will announce a replacement for the space soon, but nothing has been confirmed quite yet.
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is the last restaurant owned by Wolfgang Puck currently operating in Disney Springs. Once it closes, it appears that it will be the end of a nearly 30 year long partnership unless a new Wolfgang Puck dining spot opens in the complex.
There is no announcement for what will replace Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill once it is closed at this location.
