Disneyland Ride Closures for September 2026
Disneyland’s ride closures include some popular attractions closing in September. Many do not have confirmed reopening dates.

Indiana Jones Adventure will go down for refurbishment starting on September 8. The popular attraction currently does not have a reopening date yet.
The Mark Twain Riverboat will close September 8 and will reopen on September 12.
The Pirate Lair on Tom Sawyer’s Island will be closed September 14 and will reopen on September 17.
Mad Tea Party is closing on September 14 and currently has no reopening date listed.
The Sailing Ship Columbia will close on September 21 and will reopen on September 25.
The popular theme park character dining experience, Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, closed August 17 and will return in late September. The restaurant itself will remain open during the temporary pausing of the character dining experience.
Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition closed on July 6, and no current reopening date has been announced.
Disney World Ride Closures for September 2026
Typhoon Lagoon will be closing for seasonal maintenance on September 9. Blizzard Beach will remain open.
The previous Animation Courtyard area in Hollywood Studios is closed for its reimagining into The Walt Disney Studios, which will reopen with new experiences on September 14. Currently, the courtyard and Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! are open.
Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom closed on July 6 for a major overhaul of the ride’s timeline, with the story of the ride shifting forward by 60 years. The new version of the attraction will reopen sometime in 2027.
The Walt Disney World Railroad is currently operating under a modified route that excludes the Frontierland station, with the train operating in “shuttle mode” between Main Street station and Fantasyland station. The train will remain in this “shuttle mode” for the next few years while work continues on Piston Peak, the new Cars-inspired land, and Villains Land.
