Disney California Adventure Ride Reopening
Silly Symphony Swings at Disney California Adventure is a whimsical take on traditional amusement park swing rides. Like those templates, the attraction features swings hanging from metal chains that gently soar through the breeze, but imagines their circular path as part of the tornado from the 1935 Mickey Mouse cartoon The Band Concert. That short film sees Mickey as the conductor of a modest band whose performance gets swept up in the storm.

Silly Symphony Swings has been closed for refurbishment since April 27, 2026, with no reopening date announced until now.
Disneyland Resort’s calendar now displays Silly Symphony Swings reopening on August 28, 2026.
Permits that Disney filed over the past few months with the city of Anaheim indicate some of the work performed during the closure. This includes a PA system replacement, electrical improvements, and other backend modifications. We don’t expect any major guest-facing changes to the ride experience itself.

Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris is currently building a swings ride of its own, Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, inspired by Up.
Silly Symphony Swings is one of several ongoing refurbishments at Disneyland Resort. Disney Vacation Club Star View Station – A Member Lounge is currently closed for updates in Tomorrowland.
