Following the unprecedented opening of five new cruise ships in the past four years, Disney Cruise Line isn’t finished expanding its fleet. Next up among the five additional ships slated to debut by late 2030 is the Disney Believe, which Disney just gave fans a glimpse.

Disney Believe Cruise Ship Announcement
Disney previously shared that its next cruise ship will be named the Disney Believe, and will be designed as a Wish-Class ship, following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. The company also already announced that experiences onboard the Disney Believe will be inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Moana, and Encanto. A teaser video also featured characters from Tangled, Monsters University, Big Hero 6, Inside Out, Zootopia, and Moana.
Walt Disney Imagineers and company executives joined host Neil Patrick Harris for Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, a special presentation about the future of Disney theme parks and cruises, as part of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Disney shared that the Disney Believe “will celebrate belief in magic, family, the power of nature, and believing in yourself.”
Following a tradition of every Disney Cruise Line ship having a special character adorning its bow as an illustration, the stern as a statuette, and the atrium as a bronze statue, the Disney Believe’s featured characters are the following:
- Bow: Tinker Bell
- Stern: Woody and Buzz Lightyear
- Atrium: Moana
Disney held off on revealing more information about the Disney Believe, but there’s a reason for that. On October 7, 2026, the company will host a special “livestream reveal” for the Disney Believe.
Guests sailing aboard the Disney Wish on the October 5-9 sailing will be included in the celebration with a one-night-only stage show showcasing the new experiences coming to Disney Believe. Each stateroom on the cruise will also receive a commemorative gift to mark the special occasion.

The D23 Horizons presentation included a long list of huge news for upcoming lands, roller coasters, dining, and everything in between, spanning all Disney destinations globally.
