Disney Springs Announces 2 New Dining Offerings and New Attraction Details

Disney Springs at Walt Disney World is home to over 150 shopping and dining venues, and many of its offerings have been changing recently. New tenants are moving in, others are leaving, and some are overhauling their business operations. Now, Disney has just shared new updates on incoming food and entertainment.

Disney World announced two new dining offerings coming to Disney Springs, one of which expands a popular table service restaurant with a new snack location. Disney also revealed the opening date and ticket info for a highly anticipated new Disney Springs attraction. We have details on all of these below. Table Service Restaurant Expanding with Snack Cart

Morimoto Asia has been a favorite table service restaurant since it opened at Disney Springs in 2015. See our review of Morimoto for our thoughts on what might be the best sushi in Disney World.

The popular eatery will expand with Kakigōri Kool, a new snack cart located just outside of Morimoto Asia. Kakigōri Kool will serve Japanese shaved ice with flavored syrups and toppings like boba and fruit.

Disney hasn’t revealed an opening date or the full menu for Kakigōri Kool.

Create-Your-Own Popcorn

Goofy’s Candy Company, a candy store near Rainforest Cafe on the Marketplace side of Disney Springs, will introduce customizable create-your-own popcorn cups.

Guests start by selecting one of three popcorn flavors: buttered, caramel, or orange citrus, the last of which is a flavor exclusive to Disney Springs. Then, guests can add a chocolate drizzle and up to three candy toppings of their choice.

Disney said the create-your-own popcorn will be available at Goofy’s Candy Company “soon,” but did not share an exact roll-out date.

New Playground for Adults

Level99, described as a “playground designed for adults and teens,” will open on June 29 with 63 mini games.

All-inclusive ticket prices start at $29.99 for intervals of 1.5 and 2.5 hours. The games range from physical feats to strategic mental activities. Level99 replaces the short-lived NBA Experience in a huge building near Cirque du Soleil on the West Side of Disney Springs.

Changes at Disney Springs

The owners of the highly popular Gideon’s Bakery will expand their offerings with Six Ravens, a new shop specializing in handpies.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop will temporarily move to a new location within Disney Springs as its permanent shop receives a makeover.

Other new stores opening include Vans, Vuori, and Cole Haan.
