Disneyland has special after-hours events throughout the year, which close the parks early on select nights. For those who are planning a visit in the coming months, it’s important to be aware of these dates so that you are not caught off guard by a day with shorter hours.
While Disneyland releases these after-hours dates ahead of time so that guests are aware when buying tickets, they do not list out all of the early closure dates in one place. Below, we will share an easy-to-navigate list of all of the early park closures at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure in May and June. Disneyland Early Closure Dates in May
The two primary after-hours events happening during May and June are Disneyland After Dark events at Disneyland Park and Grad Nites at Disney California Adventure.

Two Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite parties take place at the beginning of May, including on May 4th (“Star Wars Day”). We predict that May 4th will be a particularly busy day at Disneyland Park due to the popularity of this holiday. While Star Wars Nite has fluctuated in popularity over the past few years, this year’s event is sold out. The after-hours party, taking place from 9-1 AM, features rare Star Wars characters, special entertainment offerings, galactic foods, and more. On several nights throughout May, Disney California Adventure will close at 9 pm. Some of these days, this will be an hour earlier than the typical 10 pm closure (on weekends), but other days, this will be the time that the park would have normally closed.
Grad Nites are a celebration for the graduating high school class of 2026. The event gives seniors an opportunity to ride attractions, meet characters, and enjoy special dance parties after park closing. The event takes place from 9 PM – 2 AM. You can see all details about the 2026 Grad Nites here.

In June, Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite takes place on two nights at Disneyland Park. This fun event features colorful decor, lively entertainment, rare character appearances, and more in a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community. Tickets are now on sale for this event.
