Later Nights for Disneyland’s Park Hours in May 2026
In May 2026, Disneyland Park will host Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, and Disney California Adventure will host Grade Nite on select evenings. To accommodate these after-hours special events, each park will close early on event days.

Guests visiting Disneyland Resort during those event periods who aren’t attending either party may be disappointed at early park closures. The good news is Disney just added more time to Disneyland’s park hours on other days.
Disneyland Park just adjusted its operating hours for four dates next month:
- May 8, 2026
- May 9, 2026
- May 15, 2026
- May 16, 2026
On all four of these days, Disneyland Park will be open from 8 AM to 12 AM. This is a change from the previous closing time of 11 PM on those dates, giving guests one extra hour of park time. Disneyland adjusted the park hours on its website on April 15, 2026.

Disneyland Park being open later on May 8 will come as welcome news for guests visiting over the preceding week, as the park will close early on May 4 and 6 to accommodate Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite.
Two of the just-extended nights at Disneyland Park, May 8 and May 15, coincide with Disney California Adventure closing early for Grad Nite. With guests having less time in the latter park on those days, it’s nice that they’ll be able to have even more time in the former park, at no extra charge.
Disney hasn’t revealed park hours for June 2026 at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. However, each park will close early that month on select dates for Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite and additional Grad Nite events, respectively.
Disneyland Resort is actively aware of how its park hours calendar affects the guest experience, especially as it pertains to ride maintenance, as we recently learned from Natalie Katzka, Director of Attractions Engineering Services. She emphasized the balance between the parks being open long enough for guests to enjoy them vs. the necessary overnight downtime required by the maintenance team to upkeep the attractions’ quality.
