As an Orlando local, I’ve spent plenty of time in the Orlando theme parks and learned the ins and outs of purchasing theme park tickets. That way, you’ll have everything you need to know to make the most of your next trip to Universal Orlando.

Read on for your guide to Universal Orlando ticket prices, including details on the Express Pass options, VIP Experience, and Universal Orlando vacation packages.

How to Purchase Universal Orlando Tickets

Universal Orlando Ticket

When purchasing tickets, you have 5 different options to figure out Universal Orlando ticket prices.

The first option is to purchase your tickets at ticket windows right before entering the theme parks. However, ticket windows, especially in the morning, tend to be extremely busy. This makes purchasing your ticket in advance online a much more convenient option.

When purchasing further in advance, you have 4 remaining options.

You can purchase tickets directly from Universal Orlando through the Universal Orlando website or by phone at (800) 711-0080. When purchasing directly through Universal, you must select your ticket type and then select the specific date you want to visit the theme park or water park. Once purchased, you receive a confirmation email with your receipt of purchase.

Depending on which hotel you’re staying at, you may have a few more options to purchase Universal Orlando tickets.

Guests staying at many Orlando-area hotels can purchase tickets at the concierge desks or attractions box offices. These tickets can be purchased upon check-in to your specific hotel. Finally, guests staying at the DoubleTree Universal hotel can purchase tickets in-person through Guest Services or by calling (407) 351-1000.

It's important to note that when purchasing from some hotels and ticket brokers that they do not issue actual Universal Orlando passes. Instead, when purchased, you receive a voucher that you then redeem at the theme park for a pass. If you choose this option, you can redeem your admission ticket at a separate window from the theme park’s ticket windows.

For ease of purchase and the smoothest experience possible, we recommend purchasing your tickets either directly through Universal Orlando or through certified travel agency like Get Away Today.

For the purposes of this article, when discussing purchasing Universal Orlando tickets, we’ll be referring to purchasing tickets online directly through the Universal Orlando website.

Universal Orlando Offers 2 Ticket Types

Diagon Alley

Universal Orlando ticket prices vary depending on which theme park you would like to visit.

When selecting your ticket online, you start by choosing your ticket type and then select the date which you want to visit that specific theme park or water park. Upon checking out to pay for your ticket online, you can select 1 of 3 options:

  1. Mobile Ticket: This allows you to access your theme park ticket on your smart phone via email
  2. Print at Home: This allows you to print out a physical copy of your ticket to show at the theme park entrance

One Park Per Day Ticket

Hogsmeade

The One Park Per Day ticket allows you to visit either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure, but not both theme parks in one day.

In terms of Universal Orlando ticket prices, this is the least expensive ticket offered, this ticket will most likely extend to Universal’s Epic Universe once it opens in 2025. When purchasing online, there is also a separate option to purchase a 1-Day ticket to Volcano Bay. With a Single Day, One Park Per Day ticket, you must choose the date you plan to visit but you do not have to choose the theme park to visit. When you first scan into the theme park of your choice on the day of your visit, your ticket becomes valid only for that theme park. You then cannot use that same theme park ticket to visit the other theme park.

On the day of your visit, you may leave and return to the same park you specified on your ticket, but you cannot switch parks.

Park-to-Park Ticket Universal Orlando Ticket Prices

VelociCoaster

The second ticket type, while more expensive, allows you to visit 2 or more theme parks on the same day.

More specifically, with a 2-Park Park-to-Park ticket, you can start in one theme park and go to the other theme park on the same day without having to pay for an additional ticket. Without having to leave through the theme park’s main entrance, you can ride the Hogwarts Express between Hogsmeade Station and King’s Cross Station. However, if you choose to, you can exit one theme park through its main entrance and then enter your next theme park through its main entrance. This strategy may be more useful if you want to switch parks but are not near any of the Harry Potter themed lands.

Additionally, if you get a 3-Park Park-to-Park ticket, you can start in either Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, or Volcano Bay and then switch to any one of these 3 theme parks. This ticket type gives you the most flexibility if you want to experience attractions from each of the 3 Universal Orlando theme parks.

The Park-to-Park ticket gives you the most options to experience in 1 day.

Florida residents can also take advantage of several money-saving opportunities throughout the year through the Universal Orlando website.
