Bringing Snacks to Disney
Many of the snacks that we’re going to discuss are available for purchase at Disney, but they come with a Disney price tag. It’s much more beneficial to purchase your snacks beforehand and bring them with you.You can bring room temperature foods or foods that need to be chilled. However, you will not be able to bring foods with you that need to be warmed up. To keep your chilled foods cold, you can bring a cooler with you into the parks. However, make sure that it is no larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. You can also bring bags of ice or reusable ice packs, but loose ice chips are not allowed. On my most recent trip to Disney, I opted to use lunch boxes rather than a cooler since I was only packing a small portion of cold food each day. I was able to put the food and ice packs in the lunch boxes and then easily carry them in a backpack. This made it extremely easy to carry our cold food around with us during our days at the parks. If this isn’t an ideal option for you and you need to use a cooler, you can store your cooler in a locker at the front of the park if you don’t want to carry it around with you all day.
1. Pretzels
Pretzels are great snacks for Disney. They’re easy to store, don’t make a mess, are easy to pass out, and are able to be eaten on the go. There were multiple times on my past Disney vacation that I handed my son a bag of pretzels when I could tell he was starting to get hungry. They did the trick! Pretzels were a very easy snack for him to munch on while waiting in lines, walking, or waiting for shows to start. They also filled him up quickly which resulted in a rapid mood change.
2. Fruit Snacks
Fruit snacks are one of the snacks that are available for purchase at Disney. However, you’ll be able to purchase them beforehand at a much more affordable price. The fruit snacks at Disney also aren’t very healthy. The Disney fruit snacks can easily be categorized as candy. When purchasing from a local grocery store, you’ll be able to find healthy fruit snacks that are beneficial for those eating them. Since fruit snacks generally come in small pouches, they’re easy to store and don’t take up much space. These are exceptionally nice to have for children who may not be interested in some of the other snacks that you have on hand with you.

Besides their regular form, you can also get fruit and veggie pouches. With pouches, you can still take in the same healthy snack, but in a blended and drinkable form. 4. Crackers
Just like pretzels, crackers are easy snacks for Disney. They have the same simplicity and filling effect. You can also pair crackers with many other items such as meat, cheese, jams and jellies, peanut butter, and other spreads. Most pairing items can be found in travel size containers that are perfect for the parks. If you’d rather, you can get premade cracker sandwiches or dippable cracker packs. Both of these options would make extremely convenient snacks for Disney.

Meats and cheeses are a great pairing for crackers. You can easily make up a quick little sandwich and have an enjoyable snack. Meats and cheeses make great snacks for Disney since they’re filling. Whether you eat them with crackers or on their own, they can quickly help relieve hunger pains. If you’d like to skip the process of cutting your meats and cheeses, you can purchase individually wrapped meat and cheese sticks. Meat and cheese sticks are quick and easy snacks for Disney. Like many of these other snacks, you can easily grab these out of your bag and eat them on the go! Meat and cheese sticks can be purchased separately or as combo packs.
6. Yogurt
Yogurt is another filling snack that’s not only an excellent source of dairy, but also very refreshing! On a warm day at Disney, a cold yogurt can help fight hunger and cool you off.Yogurt also comes in a variety of travel containers, making it extremely convenient for the parks. Besides a standard yogurt cup that you’d eat with a spoon, you can also get yogurt in a tube, pouch, or as a drinkable smoothie!
7. Goldfish
Like other snacks on this list, Goldfish are available for purchase at the Disney Parks. However, there are slight differences. The difference that adults will notice is that the package is much smaller with a higher price in comparison to store bought Goldfish. Children, on the other hand, are more likely to notice that the Goldfish at Disney are shaped like Mickey Mouse as opposed to a fish. In their eyes, this is a big deal.Luckily, you’re now able to buy Mickey-shaped Goldfish at local grocery stores! You can provide Goldfish snacks at Disney with the same appeal for a much lower price. For the price that you’d be paying at Disney, you can get a large carton of Goldfish. 8. Pop-Tarts
Pop-Tarts are versatile snacks that's easy to carry, store, and eat. They’re not only great snacks for Disney, but they also make a quick on-the-go breakfast. Usually, Disney days start early. Getting Groceries at Disney
There are a few ways that you can get groceries at Disney. Your first option is to bring them with you. If you’re flying, this will most likely only be ideal for the room-temperature foods. However, if you’re driving, you could easily bring all of the snacks that you’re wanting for the parks along with you.If bringing food with you isn’t a feasible option, you can place an order at a grocery store near your hotel. You can choose to either pick-up your groceries or have them delivered to you. I’ve placed a grocery delivery order for my past few Disney vacations and it’s such a convenient offering! I’ve placed these orders at both on-property and off-property hotels and have enjoyed the service every time.I always place my grocery delivery orders through Walmart. However, there are other popular options for grocery delivery such as Amazon Prime Delivery and Instacart. Garden Grocer is another popular option for those specifically staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
