This Disneyland Ride Has Massive Lines Due to TikTok Trend

Social media has had a large influence on Disneyland whether it's how Disney purposely makes food to go viral or causing long lines for jewelry that influencers rave about.

The newest TikTok trend is now impacting one of the classic Disneyland rides that typically never has long wait times even during peak times of the year!

We were just in Disneyland and witnessed firsthand how the wait times have been impacted by this viral trend! I was shocked to see the demand for this classic ride which often has manageable waits even during the holidays.

Disneyland Railroad Wait Times Increase

Due to a new viral tip trending on TikTok, the Disneyland railroad has seen a significant increase in wait times as folks on social media posts clips of what it's like to ride the train past it's a small world Holiday. You can see one of these clips below:

I had heard about this viral trend circulating before I came to the parks the past week and was shocked to see how much of an impact it really had on the Disneyland Railroad wait times. Nearly every train station after dark had extremely long lines, with the New Orleans Square train station having a line that stretched out to the main walkway at times!

As you can see in the daytime picture, taken prior to the holiday season, the path of the train goes right through the attraction.

For the holiday season, it's a small world is transformed into a beautiful holiday display and is one of the most popular attractions in the park this time of the year. I highly recommend you do not miss this beautiful overlay. Not only is the attraction decked out from the outside, the interior of the ride is filled with new themed holiday displays in each room and additional songs. This is one of my favorite parts of spending the holiday season at Disneyland.

Is Waiting for the Train Worth It?

its a small world train

Is waiting in line to pass through it's a small world Holiday lit up at night worth it? Well, that depends! If the line is reaching 45 minutes or more, I would say no. The route through it's a small world Holiday is remarkably short, it is barely a minute of your train experience, about 40 seconds. You can get the same view of the attraction in the line to ride it or by walking up to admire it after dark.

That being said, I can understand the draw of doing this. The lights for this attraction are so stunning and beautiful, being able to pass right through them on the open air train must be a wonderful experience.

If you want to also try this viral trend, I would recommend waiting for the train stop in Tomorrowland just past Autotopia. This train stop is easily the least crowded and will likely see many guests departing as this train stop is directly after it's a small world Holiday so you have the best chance of getting on the train with a lower wait time!
