Disneyland has released over 320 unique holiday food offerings across Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, the Disneyland Hotels, and Downtown Disney.
We have already sampled some of the most popular items from Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays and now we have our roundup of some of our favorites from the food lists for both parks. If you are planning on visiting during the holiday celebration, see our full Disneyland Christmas food guide for a list of all of the foods and a FREE pdf printable.
This year's lineup includes a fun selection of churros, a large quantity of seasonal cold brews, and gingerbread cookies that taste better than the viral Mickey ones!

Viral Gingerbread Mickey Mouse Cookie
The famous Mickey Gingerbread cookie is available at the Grand Californian cookie cart among other locations in both theme parks. Everyone claims the ones in the Grand California tend to be the softest and taste the best! I would agree with this as I tried one from Starbucks and noticed it had a crunchy consistency than the Grand Californian one.
This is one of my favorite cookies at Disneyland year round and I always stock up to take some home. I rate this a 8/10.
Holiday Cookies and Treats
You can find a variety of holiday themed cupcakes, rice crispy treats, giant cookies, and more in both theme parks and in Downtown Disney. We sampled a few items from these locations, mostly the cookies, with the strawberry Santa Mickey shortbread cookie being one of our favorites.
My son is always a sucker for a good rice crispy treat but he said there's not much different about it other than the holiday design.
If you're looking for more flavor variety out of these holiday treats rather than design aesthetic, you might want to lean towards the specialty cookie flavors like gingerbread items or treats like the Peppermint Brownie Pie. The Peppermint Brownie pie is an absolute favorite that consists of a perfect brownie with chocolate chips topped with peppermint.
Garlic Cream Cheese Bread
This Garlic Cream Cheese Bread was a hit with our group. This sweet bread is served warm with cream cheese garlic bread with hot honey. This was the one item at Disneyland that we had multiple times, every time we walked past the Festival Food & Beverage Cart (located in the Paradise Gardens entrance) we would grab another one. Because of how often our entire group wanted to repeatedly eat this item, I'd rate it at 10/10.
Holiday Mimosa

The Holiday Mimosa is served at a few different carts around Disney California Adventure and features cherry, vanilla, and cinnamon syrup with sparkling wine. It is served in a souvenir glass that is a pretty cute keepsake. This drink was okay, the cinnamon and cherry syrup was a bit strong and overpowered the taste of the wine. In all honesty, it was like drinking a Christmas candle so I would rate it a 2/10.
Peanut Butter-Marshmallow Churro
The Peanut Butter-Mashmallow Churro returned this year to the Churro cart by Soarin' for the holiday season. This is a fan favorite churro especially if you love peanut butter! I always love this churro, although the chocolate chips can be a bit overwhelming, but it's something I get every season. I'd rate this churro a 7/10.
Season Of Light Dessert Party Plate
The World of Color Dessert Party during the holiday season offers a themed holiday dessert plate for Season of Light. For the most part, the plate is pretty typical with other dessert party offerings with a few holiday treats instead. The dessert party plate is a bit underwhelming especially when you remember prior to 2020 it included a full bread basket but I did enjoy the holiday additions. The holiday macaroon especially was a hit in our group. I'd rank the plate still as fairly average with a 5/10.
Best Gingerbread Cookies at Disneyland
The new Gingerbread Cookies from Harbour Galley may be even better than the main Mickey Mouse one shown at the top of this list! It is warm and delicious. We wrote about this new best Disneyland Christmas cookie here. The best part is that the cookie comes in multi-packs and is warm when you receive it. Wow, these are very good. This new treat builds on the viral sensation of the chocolate cookies already sold in this location. These are a 10/10.
Peppermint Hot Cocoa Churro
The Peppermint Hot Cocoa Churro is easily the winner of the seasonal churros this year! This churro is rolled in peppermint cocoa sugar and you have the option of adding the chocolate-peppermint marshmallow dipping sauce.
You can find this churro and dipping sauce in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. We enjoyed this churro multiple times and it was my favorite amongst the sweet treats this year. I rate it a 9/10.
Specialty Peppermint S'mores Cold Brew
If you are looking for a cold brew filled with sugar, then the Specialty Cold Brrr-ew is the choice for you. It tasted more like a milkshake than a coffee which may not be a bad thing!
But if you are looking for a true cold brew, this would not be it. There is a lot of dessert elements going on in this cold brew between the s'mores syrup, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, marshmallows, and crushed candy canes. I'd rank it a 4/10 if you are looking for just a sweet cold brew and not just a milkshake with a splash of coffee. You can find this drink and the Max and Goofy straw clip at Cafe Daisy in Toontown.
Cranberry Churro
This is the first time I've come across a Disneyland churro that I hate but this year's Cranberry Churro at the cart in Tomorrowland definitely changed that! The cranberry dust on the churro is quite sour giving the entire churro a sour flavor. If you like sour treats, you might enjoy this one. The citrus white chocolate dipping sauce was good and helped offset the weird flavor of the churro although I'd prefer just a regular churro with this dipping sauce. This churro I'd rate a 1/10.
Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree
I tried both the Holiday Funnel Fries and the Snickerdoodle Cold Brew from Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. This is easily my favorite holiday cold brew as it's sweet but filled to the top with desserts.
Once you remove the cookie, you can really enjoy the snickerdoodle flavoring. And then you can enjoy the cookie! I would give this drink a 7/10. The funnel fries were good but nothing too out of the norm as far as funnel fries go so I would rate these a 5/10 as they were definitely tasty but pretty average as far as desserts go.
Chicken Enchilada Soup
Chicken Enchilada Soup found at Rancho Del Zocalo. The soup is served with curtido slaw, diced onions, cilantro, cheese flauta, and lime wedge. This was a great dish to warm up on a colder Anaheim night. We just wish that there were more of the cheese flautas because the best bites of the soup came when we were dipping the flauta, I would rate these a 7/10.
Thanks-mas Sandwich
Available at Jolly Holiday, the this Thanksgiving-themed sandwich is a great addition at this favorite Disneyland restaurant. The sandwich includes oven-roasted turkey breast, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce on rustic bread served with house-made chips. It wasn't dry at all and the moistness of the turkey combined with the gravy for dipping was a great combination so we rate this item a 8/10.
This is a nice holiday addition to the existing menu of offerings at the Jolly Holiday.
Storyteller Holiday Dinner Buffet
We also tried the Storytellers Cafe Holiday Dinner all you care to enjoy meal at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The food at Storytellers Cafe is always fantastic but they really stepped it up for the holiday dinner. There were many different holiday themed dishes like pot roast, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and more. There was something for everyone and the warm, comfort food is perfect for the chilly winter months at Disneyland. We combined this evening with some time spent in the Grand Californian to admire the new gingerbread house and enjoy snacks. Overall, I would rate this holiday dinner as a 8/10.
Blue Bayou Thanksgiving Dinner
Since we were at Disneyland on Thanksgiving, we also got to try the special Thanksgiving dinner at Blue Bayou. While this plate is only available on Thanksgiving, it's worth mentioning since this is a returning item we see every year for the holiday. The Thanksgiving plate had all the staples of a Thanksgiving dinner, except for seconds! We would rate this a 7/10 for the smaller portions but overall good food quality.
