Christmas Comes to Super Nintendo World for First Time

Super Nintendo World is easily one of the most popular theme park additions that continues to interest guests of all ages coming to Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal Orlando will also be receiving its own Super Nintendo World once their brand new theme park, Epic Universe, opens next year.

Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood have traditionally focused on Grinchmas and celebrations in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

New this year Universal Studios Hollywood brought the celebration to Super Nintendo World including new holiday decorations!

Super Nintendo World Holiday Celebration

Super Nintendo World this year is decorated for the holidays including a tree with a Super Star topper, festive wreath, and Nintendo themed snowman. The land itself has touches of holiday garland themed to the Super Mario franchise.

This cute photo op right by the entrance is a fun way to celebrate the holidays at Super Nintendo World.

This is a smart move to bring in the holidays to the Super Nintendo World area of the park since this space has already been so popular with guests. I love to see the holiday decorations expanded at Super Nintendo World to incorporate more of the park into the festivities.

Super Nintendo World Christmas Merchandise

Guests can also enjoy holiday merchandise at Super Nintendo World merchandise locations for the first time. The Mario snowman ears were easily the most popular of the merchandise offerings!

The decorations around Super Nintendo World included light up garland on the Princess Peach castle and other areas around the land.

Universal Studios Hollywood Holiday Dates

The holiday celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood takes place Friday, November 29, 2024 through Monday, January 6, 2025.

This is a bit later than festivities at other theme parks in the area which often start at mid-November but Universal Studios Hollywood often kicks off their celebration after Thanksgiving Day.

The holiday celebrations extend to Universal CityWalk Hollywood with a 40-foot-tall Christmas tree with over 200,000 LED lights and live performances with bands, DJs, and street performers.
