While many may think immediately of Dole Whip when it comes to the best frozen treats at Disneyland, there are several other great options throughout the resort that you can enjoy, from ice cream sundaes to milkshakes and slushies. Over the course of countless visits, we have tried all of the treats offered at Disneyland, including our favorite frozen ones that you shouldn't miss below.

Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor is an old-fashioned ice cream parlor right on Main Street U.S.A. with a variety of modern flavors. Choose your flavor by the scoop or in a specialty item or splurge on a satisfying ice cream float (with your choice of beverage). Our favorites here include the Mickey Mouse Ear Hat Bowl Sundae and Firehouse Dalmatian Mint Sundae. As you wait in the sweet air-conditioned parlor, watch Cast Members create the delicious waffle cones right before your eyes!

Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor will also offer seasonal items as well during the holidays at Disneyland or other events happening at the parks.

2. Smokejumper's Grill Seasonal Shake

Smokejumpers Grill at Grizzly Peak in Disney California Adventure is a quick-service location offering American classics including burgers, chicken, salads, and plant-based options. This is one of our favorite dining locations at the park to mobile order from, and one of its best offerings is always the seasonal milkshake it offers. Options in the past have included a Caramel Crispy Churro Shake during the holidays, a Raspberry Cheesecake Shake, and a Maple Bacon shake. We consider these shakes to be a can't-miss cold treat in our list of the best Disneyland foods.

3. Tiki Juice Bar and Tropical Hideaway

Tiki Juice Bar at Disneyland Park is a favorite among Disney guests and home to the ultimate cold Disneyland treat to enjoy on a hot day. You can choose from the iconic pineapple soft serve or opt for a Dole Whip Float. This is a favorite for good reason—it's creamy, tangy, and a lighter option if you feel like a traditional ice cream would be too heavy.

If you're feeling like a twist on the classic frozen treat, The Tropical Hideaway is just a few steps away and offers options like a Chile-Mango Whip or Dole Whip Swirl float with your choice of two Dole Whip flavors. So head over to Adventureland and savor these delicious tropical treats.

4. Mint Julep Bar

A popular “mocktail” drink to revitalize your taste buds on a warm Disney day can be found in New Orleans Square at the Mint Julep Bar. Here, you'll find the iconic mint drink with a hint of lime, a favorite cold Disneyland treat among many guests. You can enjoy a Mint Julep at the Mint Julep Bar with a Mickey-shaped beignet or enjoy the drink at table-service locations including the Blue Bayou Restaurant and Cafe Orleans.

5. Milkshakes at Black Tap Craft Burgers and Shakes

If you're feeling like an especially big treat, the Crazy Shakes at Black Tap Craft Burgers and Shakes in Downtown Disney are a great option. This can be a good stop if you're taking a mid-day break from the parks and the heat but still want to enjoy a frozen treat! The Crazy Shakes at this best Downtown Disney restaurant are huge, delicious, and tons of fun, and they come in flavors like Brooklyn Blackout, Cookies ‘N Cream Supreme, Strawberry Shortcake, and more. These milkshakes are big enough for your family to share and come with extremely elaborate toppings!

6. Cozy Cone Motel

At the Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land, you can find a variety of refreshing beverages at the various Cozy Cones, like Ramone's “Pear of Dice” Soda, a Route Beer Float, or Fillmore's Fuelin' Groovy' All Natural Lemonade. You'll also find a selection of cold alcoholic beverages at Cozy Cone 4 as well, like a Peach Chamoy Tequila Cocktail or Peach Michelada. If you're in the mood for ice cream, you can enjoy soft serve at Cozy Cone 2. This is a particularly great spot to grab a cold Disneyland treat, as you have a great selection to choose from and can sit and enjoy the ambiance of Cars Land!

7. Clarabelle's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream

At Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, you can enjoy a variety of cold treats including hand-dipped ice cream bars, ice cream floats, sundaes, or scoops of ice cream in a cone or cup with several flavors offered.

Clarabelle's specialties include the Mickey Mouse Ear Hat Bowl with Sundae served in a souvenir bowl and our favorite, the Mickey Mouse Kitchen Sink, which is served in a souvenir Mickey Mouse kitchen sink. The variety of options offered here and the shop's convenient location make it a great stop for a cold Disneyland treat.

8. Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats is another one of our favorite locations to grab a cold Disneyland treat, located in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure. You'll find several frozen treats here like soft serve in cones or cups, plant-based offerings, and even treats with alcohol for guests ages 21+.

Our favorite treat at this location is the Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait with lemon soft-serve and blue raspberry swirl, and you can also get it with a splash of Blue Curaçao. 9. Schmoozies!

Schmoozies!, located in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure Park, offers a great selection of cold treats including smoothies, coffees, milkshakes, and alcoholic beverages.

You can enjoy smoothies like Mango Madness and Strawberry Banana Sensation, have an Iced Cold Brew Coffee, enjoy a refreshing Watermelon Lemonade, or try some of the seasonal cold treats offered here during special events and celebrations like the holidays. 10. Ice Cream Carts

You will find ice cream carts at various locations throughout both parks. If the heat has you melting, grab a frozen ice cream bar at any one of the ice cream carts conveniently located throughout each park. My daughter’s favorite: Nestles Cookie Ice Cream Bar, which gives you the best of both treats – delicious cookies with creamy vanilla ice cream oozing from the middle!
