Splitsville Luxury Lane Bowling Review Disneyland
Many guests visiting Downtown Disney might pick Splitsville Luxury Lane just for the bowling although many stop here for a place to eat. What sets this location apart from other bowling alleys in your local town? Mainly the retro, California-inspired bowling lanes and all of the technology is up to date. You won't see any musty, outdated lanes here as you might see at a small-town bowling alley. Depending on where you are traveling from, that might be enough to impress your kids alone.
If you're a frequent bowler and are used to going to nice bowling alleys, Splitsville might not be mind-blowing but it still stands strong with the large lanes and quality food options.
The bowling prices for Splitsville at Downtown Disney change depending on the day and time of your visit which is similar to most bowling alleys.
- Monday-Friday until 4PM: $18 per person
- Monday-Friday after 4PM: $23 per person
- Saturday-Sunday: $23 per person
This pricing is a bit different from standard bowling alleys that may charge in ‘groupings' of 1-2 people, 2-3 people, etc. rather than individually. Or some bowling alleys may charge for the entire lane and for a certain duration of time. You should expect to pay a higher rate at Splitsville Luxury Lanes for bowling when compared to your local bowling alley.
As for how much time you get at your lane, this depends on the size of your group which is maxed out at 8 people per lane:
- 1-2 bowlers = 1 hr
- 3-4 bowlers = 1 hr 15 min
- 5-6 bowlers = 1 hr 30 min
- 7-8 bowlers = 1 hr 45 min
You can usually make bowling lane reservations in advance on the Splitsville Disneyland website but sometimes they remove the option for advance reservations for bowling from Disneyland's site. If this is the case, you book directly on Splitsville's website. If you reserve in advance rather than walk in, it will be an additional $10 per person charge.
But there's something about bowling in Disneyland that appeals to kids! My son was floored by this possibility and it was his idea that we dine here so we could see the bowling alley. There's just something extra alluring to kids about doing things Disney-style.
During our visit, there appeared to be plenty of lanes available but this was on a weekday afternoon and the bowling likely becomes more popular in the evenings on weekends.

Splitsville Disneyland Downtown Disney Dining Review
Our Splitsville dining review covers a basic drop-in for lunch on a day with live entertainment taking place on the outdoor patio.
Splitsville has two levels with 20 bowling lanes with indoor and outdoor seating options. Depending on how busy it is when you visit, you may only be seated in a certain area or you may have the choice of sitting downstairs or upstairs.
The open bar on the lower level faces the indoor seating area and the outdoor patio. The atmosphere of Splitsville is what you might expect from a luxury bowling alley with a bit of a sports bar vibe with over 25 big-screen TVs inside and outside displaying various sports games. While the sports bar aesthetic is a part of Splitsville's atmosphere, it is clearly a family-focused restaurant just like all the locations in Downtown Disney.
It is not too difficult to get a Splitsville dining reservation which you can do starting 60 days in advance of your visit via the Disneyland app. Since this restaurant doubles as a bowling alley and has so many seating options, dining reservations are fairly easy to come by. This is a great last-minute dining spot at Downtown Disney if you want to enjoy a table service meal but did not make reservations far in advance.
Splitsville has a great list of cocktails available including some fun novelty drinks. I ordered the Big Wave Dave which is a frozen blend of Bacardi Dragonberry, 151 rum, and blue raspberry lemonade. It was about what you would expect from a frozen drink that comes preblended out of a machine but the little novelty theme with it was cute.
The bar menu includes a large range of mixed cocktails, novelty cocktails like the one I ordered, draft beers, wine, and canned/bottled beer. This is a pretty wide range of alcohol options making this a great stop for adults at Disneyland.
I always hear folks talking about the Macho Nachos so that was what I ordered on our visit. I was able to customise the nachos to remove the beef since I am a vegetarian and this was an easy modification to make. The nachos are worth the hype although they're not as popular as the Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge.
The Macho Nachos come with seasoned ground beef, shredded cheddar jack cheese, queso, jalapeño, black bean corn salsa and are drizzled with avocado ranch. I loved the avocado ranch, this gave the nachos a bit more of an edge than your standard nacho plate.
I always appreciate when servers aren't strict on teens ordering from kids menus especially if you're traveling with a picky eater. My 13-year-old was able to order a cheeseburger and fries from the kid's menu without any issues. This is a pretty standard burger but he enjoyed it. We did share some of the crinkle-cut fries which fit that retro, American theme that Splitsville is trying to emulate.
The diversity of the menu at Splitsville gives this Disneyland restaurant a large advantage especially since dining reservations are fairly easy to come by here. The menu includes pizza, sushi rolls, classical American food, and a wide range of appetizers from nachos to loaded fries. There's something for everyone here and seems like a good spot for a family meal.
Splitsville Dining Review Entertainment
Splitsville also hosts live entertainment on select days and evenings. We visited on a pretty tame weekday afternoon and were still treated to a live cover band on the outdoor patio. They were playing a range of 90s grunge hits which I found delightful and left my son totally lost. Let's call it an educational cover band experience for the whole family.
From what our server told us, they have live music fairly often so there's a good chance you'll catch it during your visit especially if you visit on a weekend. This is a nice touch to the atmosphere of Splitsville especially if you're just stopping in for a meal and not to bowl. This is a great place to just pop in for a drink at the bar too especially if you want to drop off any of your reluctant shoppers while you go on a Downtown Disney shopping spree.
Overall, we enjoyed our food and the ease of dining at Splitsville during our visit to Downtown Disney. The bowling did not necessarily appeal to me since it's something I can enjoy for cheaper at home but I can see how this would appeal to families looking for a way to fill their evening (maybe on a non-park day?) and how they would enjoy the large bowling lanes at Splitsville.
