The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival was an exciting time for Soarin' at Disney California Adventure. The festival brought back the fan-favorite Soarin' Over California for a limited time, and fans were eager to enjoy this version of the ride. Lucky guests at the attraction got yet another special treat as Soarin's Chief Flight Attendant, Patrick Warburton, made a surprise appearance to give the safety briefing in person!

For more than 20 years, Patrick Warburton has appeared before the ride on screen to give guests a safety briefing of everything they need to know. The video contains some iconic moments and phrases that visitors have grown to love over the years!

Patrick first appeared in the safety briefing room where the video is usually shown, beginning with his famous “Hello, and welcome to Soarin'.” Everyone in the room was so excited and immediately started cheering! Fans in the room had huge smiles as Patrick continued his safety briefing and made sure to say “Nice work, pal” to a guest entering the boarding room. “It’s just magical to see how beloved Soarin’ Over California still is after all of these years,” Patrick shared. “I can remember my first trip to Disneyland at the age of five and I continue to be a huge Disney fan, so to be part of a Disney attraction that has lasted this long has just been such a sweet and wonderful thing for me.”

  1. I noticed in the article that it wasn’t mentioned the date that Patrick appeared. That would have been nice to know just to know! Other than that, I think it’s always awesome when a well-known celebrity makes a surprise visit at Disney.

    • Hi Nigel, the video was released by Disney and the date it was filled wasn’t shared. We later learned that the Soarin’ Over California video was shot the Saturday before the video was released.
