Why Does Universal Orlando Host Rock the Universe?

Rock the Universe Universal Orlando

Rock the Universe was created in 1998 by Universal Orlando as a way to compete with a Walt Disney World run Christian musical festival at the time called Night of Joy.

Walt Disney World discontinued their event in 2018 but the Universal Orlando Rock the Universe has continued on. The Universal event has now grown to include a second stage, autograph sessions, live DJs, candle-lighting ceremonies and the Sunday morning service.

This event caters a lot to local youth groups so that has helped retain the popularity of this festival for its long run.
