Disneyland Single Rider Option Returns to Extremely Popular Ride

Single Rider is a great way to dramatically cut down your wait time for popular rides, and we frequently utilize the best Disneyland Single Rider lines at the parks during our visits!

We were really happy to hear that one of our favorite rides now has a Single Rider option again for the first time in a while! This ride is always in very high demand, so this option is a great way to save time if you're willing to split up from the rest of your party. Keep reading for details, including how Single Rider works at this ride!

Popular Disneyland Ride Added to Single Rider

Single Rider Pass Indiana Jones Adventure

Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland is now offering a Single Rider option! The Single Rider line at this ride was last offered for a short time in 2021 and has not been available since then until now.

To take advantage of this option, go to a Cast Member at the attraction and ask if they are currently offering Single Rider. If so, you'll be given a Single Rider pass on a lanyard (pictured above). This lanyard is far bigger than the typical Single Rider cards that were used here previously and are used at other attractions where there is not a designated queue.

After receiving your card, you'll then walk up the exit. You then stop right where the queue circles around the domed area just before the projection room. A Cast Member will then guide you into the next section. You'll be held in here to watch the safety video. Then, you'll go up and over the stairs in the last portion of the queue, and from there, the Cast Member will assign you a row.

Previously, when Single Rider was offered for Indiana Jones Adventure, guests would use the elevator to cross up and over the ride track. Now, we are getting reports that they are using the queue all the way up and over. This may also be one of the reasons that they are giving guests such big Single Rider cards now. They don't want anyone to use the single rider line to go all the way to the front of the line and then ride separately.

To use any Single Rider line at Disneyland, guests must be 7 years or older. If you're with others, your party will be separated, as you'll be filling in random spots in the ride vehicles that groups in the standby line do not occupy. You also can't make special requests for seating if you're using this option (like our favorite row on this ride that you can read about here).

We're pretty happy to see that this offering is back! This ride generally takes some strategy to get on. It's a popular choice for rope drop in the mornings at Disneyland, and Lightning Lane Multi Pass return times book up extremely quickly, meaning that this ride has to be prioritized early on in the day unless you're lucky enough to snag a Lightning Lane window that pops up with the modify option in the app. With Single Rider added back to the ride, it's much more realistic to enjoy this ride more than once in a day, once via Lightning Lane and then via an (ideally) shorter Single Rider line.

  1. I have to use a cooter to get around Disneyland. I can use a cane to do some walking around. What type of services do they have for me and how do I access them? I have never seen any article expressly for seniors. (That is, for us acting like children). I have not been there since 2015. Now the entry price and cost of cart are way too expensive to go more than once every 10 years.
