New Disneyland World of Color Show Will Feature Muppets, Plus More Show Details Released!

Disneyland has just shared a major set of announcements for its upcoming 70th anniversary, including more details on the new World of Color show that will debut for the celebration!

Disneyland previously announced that “World of Color Happiness!” would debut along with the return of other popular entertainment like Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys for Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebration which will run from this May through the summer of 2026.

New 70th Anniversary World of Color Show Details

Disneyland had previously shared how this new World of Color show will be hosted by Joy and the other Emotions from Inside Out and Inside Out 2 in a show that will “explore ‘happy' through a kaleidoscope of emotions.” The show is inspired by Walt Disney's famous opening day words, “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!” See the concept artwork that was previously shared above.

The show will feature music and moments from other Disney Pixar stories as well, including Turning Red and The Incredibles, as well as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ stories including A Goofy Movie, Tangled, Encanto, and more.

The show is described as an “interactive joyride where guests are encouraged to dance and sing along.” It will feature classic Disney songs as well as a rendition of “Rainbow Connection” by Boyz II Men and an original song for World of Color called “Makes Me Wanna Move” by FITZ.

But one of the most exciting parts of this new World of Color show is that it will feature The Muppets! Ahead of the show, more than a dozen of The Muppets will deliver a message under the guidance of Joe the Legal Weasel through projections and fountains.

You can also see some of the other 70th anniversary announcements that were shared including Disney Pixar characters added to “it's a small world” and a special summer Disneyland anniversary ticket offer.
