Major news was just revealed for Downtown Disney as the district is amid a dramatic transformation introducing new dining and shopping experiences! New details have now been shared for two new restaurant concepts by Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori.
Some longtime Downtown Disney restaurants have closed in order to make space for these new additions, like the former Catal and Uva Bar that turned into Paseo and Céntrico by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. Tortilla Jo's, the former Mexican restaurant, closed earlier this spring to make room for two new restaurant concepts. We felt that this restaurant always fell a bit short compared to other options at Disneyland, so we were excited to hear about the promising new dining locations replacing it.
Now, we have concept art, names, and more details on these new Downtown Disney additions! Keep reading for everything you need to know.

After the loss of our favorite signature restaurant Steakhouse 55 which never reopened after the pandemic, our interest has been piqued by the new steakhouse and barbecue eatery coming to Downtown Disney by Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori.
Disney previously revealed how we can look forward to a full-service steakhouse with a “warm and sophisticated ambiance” and teased some of its menu offerings. Now, Disney has shared more details and revealed the name of the new steakhouse location! Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon will feature a center bar and offer menu highlights including prime cuts of beef, fresh seafood, sandwiches and salads, and a selection of bourbon and cocktails.

The adjacent barbecue eatery, called Pearl’s Roadside BBQ, will be a quick-service location offering dishes like pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked heritage turkey with house-made sauces, as well as craft beers and moonshine cocktails. This announcement comes shortly after the opening of Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree in the soon-to-be Bayou Country at Disneyland.

We have been waiting for this construction to start for a bit now since Tortilla Jo's has been sitting empty for a few months, and Disney has now revealed that work on the former Tortilla Jo's footprint will be beginning “soon.” You can also read about the big news that was announced for Porto's Bakery in Downtown Disney here.
