Magic Kingdom Breakfast OptionsPop Century Resort

You can start your day with something as simple as a pastry and coffee, or be a little more formal and enjoy a signature dining experience with princesses. There is truly nothing more magical than kicking off your day with a Mickey waffle and Cinderella Castle as your backdrop. Whatever your fancy, Magic Kingdom has you covered. In this article, I will share with you the best breakfast options you can find in the park.

There are more quick service options in the park than table service, so you'll likely be grabbing breakfast on-the-go. The few sit-down table service options serve a decent breakfast, but it can be difficult to obtain a dining reservation. Consider snagging an early breakfast reservation at one of the hotel restaurants instead. In my personal experience, I have found your Disney World resort hotel will serve a better breakfast than you'll find in the park. It's fresher, tastier, hotter and there are far more menu choices that will satisfy everyone in your party.

To make dining reservations, please visit the Walt Disney World website. Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of your vacation. For tips on making last minute dining reservations, visit our guide to Disney World Last Minute Dining Reservations.

If you prefer to just get your day started in the park, let's take a look at the best breakfast options in Magic Kingdom.

Best Sit Down Breakfast Magic Kingdom breakfast- Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace

Table Service, Reservations Recommended, Walk ups permitted

Character Dining (Winnie the Pooh & Friends)

Location: Fantasyland (next to Casey’s Corner on the left hand side of Main Street U.S.A)

Price point: Between $35 and $65 per person

Link to MENU

Must try: Mickey waffles

Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood lies an adorable, Victorian-style restaurant called Crystal Palace. Inspired by Victorian greenhouses in the late 1800’s, this enchanting restaurant is a must-do-at-least-once for you and your family. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet are there waiting to greet all of their friends for breakfast.

Enjoy a buffet-style all-you-care-to-eat meal, complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, omelet station, pastries, waffles, pancakes and so much more! If you love character dining, this is a super option. The character interactions are fantastic and it’s great fun for all ages. It’s one of my favorite places to eat before starting a busy park day.

Alternate Sit-Down Breakfast Options

While I personally think Crystal Palace is the BEST sit-down Magic Kingdom breakfast, there are other options to consider.

Cinderella's Royal Table

Table Service, Reservations Required

Character Dining (Princesses)

Location: Castle Hub / Fantasyland (inside Cinderella Castle)

Price point: Between $35 and $65 per person

Must try: Caramel Apple-Stuffed French Toast or Beef Tenderloin and Eggs

Located right inside the majestic and grand Cinderella Castle, fine dine with Cinderella and her fellow princess friends. Enjoy a feast fit for any royal; it’s a great way to kick off your Magic Kingdom day.

Breakfast here is one of the hardest reservations to get, and for that reason alone, I am not listing this restaurant as the best option. I also think the food is mediocre, if I'm being honest.

Serving American style breakfast, this early morning option is one of the best. Each table receives a platter of pastries to kick off your meal. The menu offers an array of options suitable to anyone's taste. Enjoy bubbly cocktails, flaky pastries or avocado toast. For something a little heartier, try the Caramel Apple-Stuffed French Toast (this is a total winner!). Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and toast are also on the menu, but the food isn’t the star of the show at this restaurant, it’s the princesses. Cinderella and her royal friends (Snow White, Ariel and Aurora) stop by each table to greet their Guests. This is the ultimate fairytale come true for any little girl or boy and adults alike.

This is considered signature dining, so the prices are much higher than your standard breakfast. Also note, when a reservation is made, Disney will immediately charge your credit card for this dining experience. Cancel within 24 hours to avoid paying for a breakfast you didn’t attend.

Magic Kingdom breakfast

Be Our Guest & Plaza Restaurant

Be Our Guest (Fantasyland) and Plaza Restaurant (Main Street U.S.A.) offered breakfast before the pandemic closures and have not yet returned.

While these are wonderful dining choices, we have not received any confirmation that breakfast will return to these locations.

These may be considerations in the future. If Plaza Restaurant begins serving breakfast again, it will absolutely be added to the best breakfast options in Magic Kingdom.

Best Quick Service RestaurantMagic Kingdom breakfast- Sleep Hollow

Sleepy Hollow

Quick Service

Location: Fantasyland (near the entrance to Liberty Square and to the left of Cinderella Castle)

Price point: $15 and under

Link to MENU

Must try: Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich (with hazelnut spread)

Sleepy Hollow is located right at the entrance to Liberty Square, to the left of the Castle. Some of the best breakfast choices are served from this cute little cottage, it is truly one of the best quick service spots in all of the Magic Kingdom.

Start your day with any one of the following amazing options, you can’t go wrong with any of them: giant Mickey waffle (add whipped cream and strawberries), an egg and cheese waffle sandwich, and their iconic fresh fruit waffle sandwich with hazelnut spread (this one is my favorite and absolutely delicious!)

One of the best parts about Sleepy Hollow is its location. Right next to where you order and receive your food, there is a generous size seating area to enjoy your goodies. And since it’s right next to the Castle, you have a picture perfect view while you enjoy your meal. It truly can’t get any more special than that.

Magic Kingdom breakfast- Main Street Bakery

Main Street Bakery

Quick Service

Location: Main Street U.S.A (at the end of Main Street U.S.A on the right hand side, just before the Plaza Ice Cream shop)

Price point: $15 and under

Link to MENU

Must try: Any of your favorite hot or cold brews

If you can’t live without your Starbucks, the Main Street Bakery is the place for you.

Located on the right hand side at the end of Main Street U.S.A, this location gets pretty busy on any given morning at the Magic Kingdom. Although the lines move rather quickly, there are other (better) options in the park for breakfast if you don’t want to wait.

The bakery turned Starbucks serves many of your standard menu items that you can find at any Starbucks location across the country. Grab yourself a breakfast sandwich, pastries and a cold brew to start your day right with a Magic King

Alternate Quick-Service Breakfast OptionsMagic Kingdom breakfast- cinnamon roll

Gaston's Tavern

Quick Service

Location: Fantasyland (Between Beast's Castle and Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid)

Price point: $15 and under

Link to MENU

Must try: Cinnamon Roll and LeFou’s Brew (the restaurant’s signature non-alcoholic drink)

If you have a sweet tooth, this is a great option for you. If you don't, you may want to pass this one by.

Located in the back of Fantasyland, next to Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, is Gaston’s Tavern. You’ll feel as if you’ve stepped out of the scenes from the movie and into the tavern. This little spot is full of detail and charm.

While the menu may seem more suitable for lunch or a snack, they do have the best sticky cinnamon roll you can buy at Walt Disney World. It may not be the healthiest breakfast, but it sure is a delicious one. And the cinnamon roll is HUGE, plenty to share with family and friends.

Magic Kingdom breakfast- Friar Nook

The Friar's Nook

Quick Service

Location: Fantasyland (next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh)

Price point: $15 and under

Link to MENU

Must try: Anything with tater tots is what they're known for

Often overlooked amidst the hustle and bustle of Fantasyland, The Friar’s Nook offers great breakfast options for those hungry Guests. The breakfast portions served here are very hearty and filling. They are known for their tater tots, which they use in almost every menu item.

This option is not my favorite. I find it to be too heavy and greasy for breakfast, but that might be what some are looking for. Try the signature Sausage and Gravy Tots – it's a fan favorite.

Breakfast sandwiches and pastries are also sold here for those wanting something a little less filling for a Magic Kingdom breakfast.

pastry

Westward Ho

Quick Service Cart

Location: Frontierland (across from The Country Bears attraction)

Price point: $15 and under

Link to MENU

Must try: Bacon, egg and cheddar on multigrain croissant

Westward Ho is a little known gem in Frontierland that serves breakfast and coffee for those on the go. Grab a delicious bacon, egg, and cheddar on a multigrain croissant and a Joffrey’s coffee and you’ll be ready to take on the day.

There are not a lot of choices here, but if you like a good breakfast sandwich, this will work for you. It also doesn't get as busy because there aren't many choices, so if you are looking to grab something quick, stop here.

This is also a great option for those that do not like Starbucks coffee that is served at the Main Street Bakery. You can also grab pastries here or muffins if that is more your preference for breakfast.

There are plenty of options to choose a Magic Kingdom breakfast if you prefer to save a bit of time and get right to the park in the early morning hours. Remember, if you find it hard to obtain a sit-down dining Magic Kingdom breakfast reservation and don't want to eat on-the-go, consider eating breakfast at any one of the hotel restaurants on property. In my opinion, you will get a much better breakfast and value for your money.
