Disney’s Animal Kingdom Celebrating Lion King 30th Anniversary with Special Offerings
This summer at Disney World, there will be several special offerings available across the parks, including the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Disney's The Lion King. This movie introduced some of the most beloved Disney characters of all time, and Animal Kingdom will be honoring its anniversary with offerings across the entire park.
The Lion King 30th anniversary celebration will feature merchandise, a special popcorn bucket, a character meet and greet, special treats, and more. Keep reading for the dates of the Animal Kingdom Lion King anniversary celebration and all of the details you need to know!

Lion King 30th Anniversary Celebration at Animal Kingdom
The Lion King 30th anniversary celebration will take place across the entire Animal Kingdom park from June 10 through September 6.
During the celebration, guests will be able to explore a new merchandise collection as well as special menu items (with more details on the treats to be shared soon). At Rafiki's Planet Watch, guests will also be able to meet two favorite characters from The Lion King, Timon and Rafiki, with meeting times available on the My Disney Experience app. While you are at Rafiki's Planet Watch, you can also learn how to draw characters from The Lion King at Animation Experience.
