Between the Haunted Mansion grounds expansion that closed the attraction for a good part of the year and the work taking place in Critter Country, there has been a lot of construction happening on the west side of Disneyland recently.
Some major new changes were announced recently for Critter Country, including the Tiana's Bayou Adventure opening date along with a name change for the land and a reimagining of the Hungry Bear Restaurant. Disney had shared that the land would officially be renamed when Tiana's Bayou Adventure debuts but that some areas would be opening sooner.
Now, we have news that a portion of Critter Country, including the beloved ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, will be opening in the immediate future! Keep reading for more details and the reopening date.

The majority of Critter Country, including The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, has been closed since the start of May this year after Disney announced that construction would be taking place to add two new retail shops inspired by Princess and the Frog. The area has been closed for several months, and certain experiences are now finally set to reopen.
The Disney Eats Instagram announced that The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Pooh Corner will be reopening on August 29! When Pooh Corner reopens, it will have a new Blue Honey Pot apple seen below.
This is the right side of the location that will be opening offering merchandise and treats inspired by Winnie the Pooh. Louis' Critter Club, which will occupy the left side of Pooh Corner, and the other new retail location called Ray's Berets will open at a later date.

Construction has been gradually dissipating a bit in the area as the bridge/walkway leading to Galaxy's Edge reopened last week. There will still be some construction walls up as work continues on Tiana's Bayou Adventure and the shops, but fans will be happy to have access to sections of the land once again. We will have a look at the new area as it gets open.
We have asked Disney if the characters that greet in this back area will be returning also. Update – a Disneyland spokesperson has now confirmed to Mickey Visit that Winnie the Pooh and friends will also be back greeting guests starting tomorrow.
