ESPN Wide World of Sports Events Schedule 2025

The ESPN Wide World of Sports complex is part of the Walt Disney World Resort and hosts Disney Soccer, Disney Spring training, and is the premier location for amateur sports. This includes hundreds of championships, events, and tournaments for youth athletes. These teams travel from all over the country for the chance to compete in these state of the art facilities in front of fans, college coaches and scouts.

Events take place throughout the year that may be of interest to sports fans visiting Walt Disney World but also for families planning their vacations. These events can impact crowd levels at Walt Disney World and some of the resort hotels.

I personally visited the ESPN Wide World of Sports recently and was blown away by the level of dedication it shows youth athletes. How ESPN Wide World of Sports Events Can Impact Your Trip

Athletic Center exterior building at ESPN complex

For many of the events at ESPN Wide World of Sports, the only main impact will be seen at the All Star value resorts- especially at All Star Sports. All Star Sports is often where these teams and families stay during the events. Depending on the size of the event, some teams may still at other All Star Resorts.

Another Walt Disney World hotel that is often home to teams competing is Coronado Springs Resort. There are a few competitions that take place at Coronado Springs Convention Center which will draw crowds to this hotel.

Many of these events also coordinate with holiday weekends so in those cases, these events do not necessarily make a big difference since those dates can be crowded anyways.

Read our guide to Walt Disney World dates to avoid to see what holidays are the worst!

There is one MAJOR event that will have huge impacts on crowd levels both at the theme parks and the resort hotels. Keep reading to see which one we have marked on our calendar as a date to avoid if you don't like crowds!
