Disney has become fairly creative with their bars lately, with the newest Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge at Magic Kingdom being a huge hit with guests and the adults-only lounge at EPCOT has received high reviews.
Now the second Haunted Mansion bar is opening next week and is sure to be just as popular amongst guests as the original. At Mickey Visit, we cover all the breaking Disney news, including crowd level predictions at Disneyland and major changes to restaurant menus.

Disney’s Newest Haunted Mansion Bar
Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Destiny, sets sail for its inaugural voyage on November 20. The lineup of lounges on the ship includes another Haunted Mansion bar. The first version of the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure, the sister ship to the Disney Destiny and Disney Wish, was the first-ever bar/lounge inspired by the iconic Disney Parks attraction.

We will be sailing on the new Disney Destiny cruise ship next week to bring you all the latest updates from the brand new cruise ship, including a look inside this version of the Haunted Mansion Parlor. Be sure to follow along with @MickeyVisit on social media and join our newsletter so that you don’t miss out on any of the exciting new details of this ship that is themed to Heroes and Villains.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor will follow the same design and storyline as the Disney Treasure version, with the lounge combining the atmosphere of a first-class drawing room with a Haunted Mansion twist.
The storyline for the Haunted Mansion Parlor introduced two new characters to the lore of the attraction: The Captain and The Captain’s Bride. The parlor focuses on the story of The Captain and the tale of how he found his bride after responding to a distress call for a shipwreck, and upon arrival, he only found this mysterious woman.
The lore of the parlor suggests that The Captain’s bride may be a more sinister figure, a detail hinted at in the portrait gallery. The Haunted Mansion Parlor is filled with clues that reveal the mystery of their disappearance after the night The Captain went to dine with his bride. That same evening, he vanished, leaving only his hat drifting in the aquarium tank.
The Haunted Mansion bar also features tons of Easter Eggs for Haunted Mansion fans from the most obvious connection of the purple wallpaper to the more subtle chair that is in the ride but was originally designed for Imagineer Rolly Crump’s unbuilt Museum of the Weird. Disney’s Haunted Mansion was supposed to be very different; read our complete telling of that story here.

Will Disney Destiny’s Haunted Mansion Parlor Be Different?

While most aspects of Disney Destiny’s version of the Haunted Mansion Parlor will be similar, there will be some differences.
The menu itself will be different, including a new version of the popular drink “Chilling Challenge: My Way” cocktail. The Disney Destiny version of the drink features all-new ingredients, including Camus VSOP Cognac, Cointreau Noir, Joto Yuzu Sake, Orange Blossom Foam, and Edible Viola Flowers.
We might also see other décor details tweaked, as this is considered a second version, so there may be some differences or new Easter Eggs for Haunted Mansion fans to look for. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Walt Disney Imagineers who worked on the first one had some things that they couldn’t fit into that version of the bar that they add into this version.
We may also get some ship-specific merchandise items like collectible mugs or glasses that are unique to the Disney Destiny.
We will share all of this once we get into the new space next week.
Haunted Mansion Bar Will Offer Disney Fairytale Weddings

Another key difference for the Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Destiny is that it will be a new venue for Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. The venue can accommodate up to 25 wedding guests, including the couple.

This new venue is available exclusively on Disney Destiny sailings beginning with its May 14, 2026 voyage out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This could be a popular choice for Haunted Mansion fans! You can read about my experience of what it’s like planning a Disney Cruise Line wedding here.
