Downtown Disney Updates

Significant progress has been made on Parkside Market in Downtown Disney! We can see that the exterior of the building is really coming together. The new building will house 4 culinary concepts: Seoul Sister, Sip & Sonder, GG's Chicken Shop, and an overlook bar. You can read more details about each in our Downtown Disney expansion guide!

There are also a couple of new stands in Downtown Disney. Disney had previously announced that some new shopping experiences would be coming to Downtown Disney, including the Kawaii Slime stand. This stand offers a variety of slime concoctions and toys featuring different textures, colors, scents, and glittery mix-ins.

Another new stand is Havilah & Co., which features a selection of scented candles. A great thing about the company, as you can see on their sign below, is that 50% of the profits are donated.

More new shops will be coming to Downtown Disney this year. The reimagining of Marceline's Confectionary into “Disney Wonderful World of Sweets” will be complete this winter, and two new shops Avengers Reserve and D-Lander shop will also be opening this winter.

We're looking forward to Christmas at Disneyland, and holiday merchandise is already available at World of Disney! See all of this fun apparel that will get you into the holiday spirit below.

The LEGO Store in Downtown Disney is currently closed for refurbishment, as you can see below. The sign outside reads “Something bright and colorful is coming soon!”

The work has begun to bring a refreshed space for the store. The work will be completed in phases and the store should reopen this fall. Disney has said that there will be more shared about the changes to the store in the coming months.

Disneyland snow on caslte

Snow is already on the castle in preparation for the Christmas celebration, while the Halloween celebration still continues through the end of the month. We have seen Disneyland start decorating for Christmas early like this in the past with snow on the castle before the Halloween celebration had ended.

The opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure is fast approaching! The ride opens officially on November 15, and previews will be taking place in the weeks leading up to that. Construction walls are now down, giving us a clearer look at the exterior and the queue for the new ride!

Here is a zoomed-in look at some of the posters in the queue of the ride from the outside, advertising the “Bayou Community Band” playing soon at Tiana's Palace.

Here is a look at the colorful mural adorning the queue, which depicts various scenes highlighting the joys of music, cooking, and community.

Here is a closer look at some parts of the mural, depicting Louis music playing with others and a community harvesting crops together.

A few parts of the land will be opening earlier than Tiana's Bayou Adventure, including Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and one of the two new Princess and the Frog retail shops, Louis' Critter Club. You can see our guide to Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree for details on its opening date and full menu!

Here's a look at the current exterior of Louis' Critter Club below. The shop will be the space that the critters of Tiana's Bayou Adventure call their home away from home.
