RunDisney Street Closure Impacts
This weekend, there will be some street closures on Saturday and Sunday during the Disneyland Halloween 10K and Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon races. The runDisney races take place very early in the morning so as to minimize their impact on the resort and the surrounding area, but there will still be some street closures and rerouted traffic on these days. The City of Anaheim shared that for both runs, many streets will start reopening around 8-9 a.m.

Below, you can see the closures for the Disneyland Halloween 10K on Saturday, September 6. The impacts of this race are more limited. The immediate surrounding areas are impacted, including parts of Disneyland Drive, Katella Avenue, Harbor Boulevard, Disney Way, and Manchester Avenue. Even though these roads are closed both ways for stretches of time, all of the hotels located along the areas impacted are hotels within walking distance of Disneyland. If you're staying at one of these hotels across the street, make sure to allow for a little more time than you normally would to get to the resort on foot.

Below, you can see the closures for the Half Marathon on Sunday, September 7. This day will have the greatest impact due to street closures and rerouted traffic. The streets in the immediate area surrounding Disneyland will be impacted, as well as Ball Road, Lewis Street, Cerritos Avenue, State College Boulevard, and Winston Road.

Unfortunately, this day will be a little bit messy for visitors who are staying at a hotel a little further away due to the road closures impacting ART Shuttle routes. Due to these road closures, it may be worth considering walking to the resort on this day, even if your hotel is a little further than what we'd typically recommend as comfortable walking distance. If you are taking the shuttle to get to the parks, you might consider switching your park reservation to Disney California Adventure for the day/morning, as the park opens at 9 am rather than its usual 8 am opening due to the race impacts. This way, you won't be further behind the morning crowds at Disneyland Park opening.
You may also consider taking an Uber or Lyft to Katella and Harbor and walking the rest of the way in.
