4 Disneyland Spots That Surprisingly Don’t Offer Mobile Order and Really Should

Some of the best Disneyland restaurants you'll find at the resort are quick-service locations, which offer a grab-and-go meal that you can conveniently pick up when you're hungry without needing to make any reservations in advance.

Some of our favorite quick-service restaurants, like the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, Bengal Barbecue, and Flo's V8 Cafe are all locations that offer mobile ordering, a feature that allows you to order food through the Disneyland app and select a return time during which you can pick up your meal. Standing in long ordering lines can sometimes take quite a while, so mobile ordering is one of the best ways to save time at the parks.

This convenient feature is offered at several quick-service locations throughout the parks but unfortunately not all of them. Surprisingly, some popular restaurants still do not offer the option to mobile order. We visit Disneyland weekly and really wish that these four restaurants would get the offering added.

Disneyland Restaurants That Do Not Offer Mobile Order

None of the Downtown Disney quick-service restaurants offer the option to mobile order through the Disneyland app, though we would like to see this option offered for some of our favorite locations like Earl of Sandwich. This is one of the best Downtown Disney restaurants that offers a variety of options including hot sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and more. This fan-favorite restaurant is one of the best places to get a quick meal with breakfast as well as lunch and dinner offerings.

It would be great to be able to place a mobile order to Earl of Sandwich, whether you're just leaving the parks and want a bite to eat for the way home, are in the midst of shopping at Downtown Disney, or want to grab breakfast to take on-the-go to the parks in the morning. The option to mobile order here would help you save time and give you the flexibility to pick up your food when it's most convenient.

Some fan-favorite places to get an ice cream at Disneyland, like Clarabelle's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream and Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, offer mobile ordering so that guests can easily pick up their treats at the time they've selected. It's especially convenient to have this option available for desserts, as you'll be able to quickly grab them to enjoy on the way to your next stop if you time your pickup correctly.

However, one of our favorite locations to get dessert at Disneyland, Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats in Pixar Pier, does not currently offer mobile ordering. This location offers a selection of fun soft-serve treats like the Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait, a frozen dessert that combines lemon soft-serve and blue raspberry slush. Ordering lines can get long for this, especially on hotter days of the year, and while mobile order has been an option for this location in the past, is it not currently available. We would love to see mobile ordering consistently offered here so that you can plan an easy pickup for this dessert while in this area of the park.

Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop, located is another one of our favorite ice cream locations that still does not offer mobile ordering. This is my personal favorite go-to option for dessert at Disney California Adventure, so I would love to see this feature added. There have been several times when I have wanted a sundae from here (we recommend the Cookie Crumble Hot Fudge Sundae and the Ocean Beach Sea Salt Caramel Sundae in particular!) but ended up skipping the option due to not having the time to go through the entire ordering process before my next stop. We would like to see mobile ordering offered here and imagine this feature would be utilized quite commonly.

One of our favorite quick-service locations, Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland at Disneyland, is another location that surprisingly doesn't give guests the option of mobile ordering. Rancho Del Zocalo Restaurante offers Mexican cuisine that you can enjoy in a large shaded patio seating area, with menu options like the Burrito Sonora with Chicken and the Trio of Street Tacos. The lines can get long here, but they do move relatively quickly because the restaurant is set up cafeteria-style. However, it would still be nice to bypass the ordering line entirely and have the convenience of mobile ordering here.

For certain locations or menu items at Disneyland, mobile ordering availability tends to shift around quite a bit depending on staff during peak seasons. Mobile ordering at some locations may not be consistently offered, or locations will remove certain items from the mobile ordering menu—for example, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe taking away mobile orders for Hot Cocoa in the evenings during the winter months to minimize long lines before the fireworks. Locations at Disney California Adventure will also do this as well so that the mobile orders for it will not overwhelm certain locations.

It can be a bit confusing when guests rely on mobile ordering being offered for certain locations or items only for it to be inconsistent or unexpectedly unavailable. Given that this is such a great and convenient feature, we would like to see it be a bit more reliably offered in these situations.
