Disneyland Hints at 2 New Oogie Boogie Bash Characters For This Year

The Halloween season at Disneyland is quickly approaching, and the Oogie Boogie Bash parties at Disney California Adventure kick off very soon! A major highlight of these parties is the Treat Trails, which feature appearances of Disney and Pixar villains rarely seen in the parks. Each year, Disneyland releases a video hinting at new villains who will be featured in these Treat Trails!

New Villains at Oogie Boogie Bash

In the new video shared by Disneyland, the caption reads, “Where thorns creep in the shadows and heroes fade behind the darkness… Dare to guess which two villains are joining #OogieBoogieBash – A Disney Halloween Party?”

In the first part of the video, we hear ravens cawing and see a billow of green fog with branches of thorn bushes creeping up in the foreground. We anticipate this means that Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty will be one of the villains featured! She is technically not a new villain for the Treat Trails, but she hasn't appeared since 2022.

The next part of the video shows a gauntlet hitting and rolling on the ground, with Pixar Pier as the backdrop. We can assume that this is the gauntlet of the villain Syndrome from The Incredibles! We expect this will be a pretty awesome addition with a lot of humor and fun banter with visitors. It will be really interesting to see how they design the character's look in live-action.

Last year, Hades and Dr. Doofenshmirtz were the two new villains introduced to the party. According to a map previously shared by Disneyland revealing the other Treat villains, these two Oogie Boogie Bash characters will both be returning.
