Disney Just Revealed More Details on the New Two-Story Earl of Sandwich Location Coming to Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney has been undergoing some major changes recently as new dining experiences are introduced to the district. Disney previously announced as part of its Downtown Disney expansion that Porto's Bakery would be coming to the district, and Earl of Sandwich would be getting a new two-story location.

Now, Disney has shared information about the new two-story Earl of Sandwich location coming with more details on what we can expect! Earl of Sandwich is in a transitional state right now as its current location on the east side of the district will eventually be transformed into Porto's Bakery. This space will eventually close for construction, and most recently a new Earl of Sandwich pop-up location was opened on the west end of the district.

A new Earl of Sandwich location is in development, which will feature a “light and airy” Earl of Sandwich on the ground level and a new table-service concept called The Carnaby Tavern. The design of this new space will be an “homage to the swinging ‘60s “British Invasion” pop and rock bands from the U.K.” The restaurant will have a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar. The Earl of Sandwich location on the east side of the district will be closing in 2025 for construction on Porto's to begin. Disney hasn't yet shared a specific closing date. As we discuss in our article on Porto's coming to Disneyland, Porto's recently mentioned in a news release that their new seventh location would be “coming to Downtown Disney in Anaheim in 2025.” Unfortunately, this news from Disney doesn't give us a more specific idea of when exactly in 2025 that will be.

Right now, guests can enjoy the current Earl of Sandwich east side location as well as the pop-up location on the west end of the district before the main location closes. The pop-up location will have a selection of the Earl of Sandwich offerings including hot sandwiches, hand-crafted wraps, salads, and sweets. Sandwiches include options like The Original 1762, the Holiday Turkey, the Montagu, Caprese, and Italian. There will also be seasonal offerings like the Carolina Pulled Pork Crunch that guests can enjoy as well.
