Disneyland and Disney World Increasing Prices for Tickets, Annual Passes, Lightning Lane, and More

Price increases at Disneyland and Disney World have just gone into effect. Both theme park resorts have raised prices for tickets, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and annual passes. We have all the information directly from Disney, along with comments on the reasoning for the increase. For Disneyland specifically, our travel partner typically gets to keep selling the old discounted ticket prices for a limited time.

Disney typically raises prices once a year. These price increases are happening in the midst of some major expansions on both coasts, introducing new rides and experiences, and against a backdrop of increasing operational costs. Keep reading for a detailed breakdown of the October 2025 Disneyland and Disney World price increases.

Disneyland and Disney World Raise 2025 Ticket Prices

Effective immediately as of October 8, 2025, Disneyland has increased prices on tickets, Magic Key passes, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and parking.

The lowest tier of 1-day ticket prices, Tier 0, will remain unchanged at $104 per ticket. This has not been changed since 2019. Disneyland Public Relations confirmed that in 2025, there is a total of 38 Tier 0 days in 2025. From January to April 2026, there are 24 Tier 0 days, which is more than the 15 from January to April 2025.

The highest tier of 1-day ticket prices, Tier 6, has increased by $18 and is now $224 per ticket. As shown in our Disneyland historical price increase study, the highest-tier 1-Day 1 Park Per Day ticket price has increased by 126.26% over the past decade, from 2015 to 2025.

The rest of the 1-day pricing tiers are increasing between 1.5% and 4.9%, which are notably smaller than last year’s increases. Last year, prices for the 1-day tiers (excluding the lowest and highest tiers) increased between 5.9% and 6.5%.

The longest and most expensive Disneyland ticket type, the five-day park hopper ticket, increased in price by $39 and is now $655. Over the past decade, the five-day park hopper ticket has increased by 107.94%.

Alongside the news of the price increases, Disney announced a new California Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer. This will allow eligible guests to visit both parks for as little as $83 per day ($249 total) with the purchase of a 3-Day Park Hopper ticket, valid for visits from January 1 through May 21, 2026. This will go on sale on December 3.

Price increases are taking effect for Disney World as well. Some November and December 2026 1-Day 1 Park Per Day ticket prices have gone up from $199, which is the current peak pricing, to $209. This is the first time that this ticket type has broken the $200 mark at Walt Disney World, though it already had at Disneyland.

For dates now through October 2026, the range of 1-day ticket prices will remain the same at $119 to $199, but ticket prices in between this range have increased by an average of $5 per ticket.

Disney World has also increased annual pass pricing between $20-$80 for all passes. The cost to renew passes will not be increasing for two annual pass types, the Sorcerer Pass and Pixie Pass.

Standard parking at Disney World has increased $5 from $30 to $35, and preferred parking prices have also gone up $5 from the current price points. Some food and beverage and merchandise items, as well as Lightning Lane, have increased as well.

What Disney Shared With Us on Price Increases

Disneyland officials shared more context with us at Mickey Visit about the price increases.

They shared that the lowest cost 1 Park Per Day Disneyland ticket has remained at the same $104 pricing for seven years, and in that same time period, the wages for many Cast Members have increased by more than 100%. That ticket price has actually only gone up $5 since 2015, a decade ago.

Disney pointed out how they have kept this price almost the same for a decade, and this is a stark contrast to other entertainment companies. They pointed to the rise of inflation and the increase in the cost of other entertainment like concerts and sporting events. They reiterated their commitment to keeping ticket prices accessible.

They also pointed out that if you look at the Disneyland calendar, 32 (or more than 17%) of the days that are available to book right now are $104 days.

Turning to the new California Resident ticket deal, the Disneyland team emphasized that more than 50% of visitors to Disneyland are California residents.

Disney reiterated that promotional offers are an important part of their offering. They pair those with Magic Key Annual Passes to give people more ways to access the parks. They said that their ticket lineup continually changes based on the celebrations throughout the year and the needs of Disneyland. They pointed to the recent specials, which included the Southern California Resident Ticket Offer (for as low as $67 per ticket per day) and the Disneyland Anniversary Ticket Offer (for as low as $100 per ticket per day). They also referenced the recent Disneyland pin email offer we reported previously.

They stated that they remain focused on providing value even when prices are changed and believe that a Disney vacation delivers unmatched quality for a great value. They reiterated that there is so much value in 12 hours of entertainment during a Disney theme park visit, which can include attractions, character meets, shows and live entertainment, parades, and nighttime spectaculars.

Why Did Disney Increase Theme Park Ticket Prices?

Disneyland and Disney World ticket prices continue to rise as demand for the theme parks remains high, Cast Member wages are rising, and Disney is investing in major expansions across both coasts, as the theme park business is driving crucial profits for The Walt Disney Company as a whole.

At Disneyland, some major new rides are in the works, including two new Avengers Campus rides, a new Avatar Land, a Coco boat ride, and a new parking structure and transportation hub. Disney World is in the midst of several ambitious expansions, including a new Cars area and Villains Land in Magic Kingdom, a Monsters, Inc. land in Hollywood Studios, and the overhaul of Animal Kingdom’s DinoLand U.S.A. into a Tropical Americas-inspired land.

All of these changes are taking place as entertainment ticket prices are broadly increasing, a phenomenon referred to as “funflation.” Pollstar reports that the average ticket price for the top 100 touring musical acts rose from $71.44 in 2014 to $135.92 in 2024, a 90.26% increase.

2025 Disneyland Lightning Lane Multi Pass Increase

Disneyland has also increased pricing for its Lightning Lane Multi Pass skip-the-line service. The baseline pricing if you purchase the service with your tickets is now $34 per person, which is an increase of 6.25%. The increases over the past few years have been relatively minor $2 increases at a time. If you wait to purchase the service on the day of your visit, pricing is variable and starts at $37 per person, and could go up from there.

In our opinion, despite the price increases, this service is almost always worth the price, as it is invaluable to maximizing your time at the parks. As we mentioned during last year’s price increases, it is perhaps not a bad thing to see the price of this service increasing. If the price is just high enough that fewer guests are booking and purchasing Lightning Lanes, we could see the service become much more efficient.

2025 Disneyland Magic Key Price Increase

Disneyland has also increased prices for two out of the three of its Magic Key annual pass types. The two lowest-tier pass types, the Imagine and Enchant keys, will stay at the same cost.

The two highest-tier pass types, the Believe and Inspire Keys, will be increasing in price. For those on the payment plan, they are lowering the down payment requirement and increasing the monthly fee to allow for more people to access the program.

The Believe Key will increase by $100, a 7.3% increase (with an increase of $15.84 per month on its monthly payment plan). The Inspire Key will increase in cost by $150, an 8.6% increase (with an increase of $20.00 per month on its monthly payment plan).
