1. Rise of the Resistance Reopening

Rise of the Resistance, arguably one of the most popular rides in Disneyland, now has a reopening date of February 13, 2026. The closure is listed as ending on February 12, 2026, and the ride will reopen the following day. Disneyland previously closed the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction on January 20, 2026. No changes are expected to this flagship attraction, though other changes are coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland.

The ride is reopening ahead of major changes coming to Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that will bring part of the land into the timeline of the original film trilogy, introducing beloved characters, including Han Solo and Leia, to the land. 2. Napa Rose Restaurant Debuts New Look and Menu

Napa Rose, the fanciest restaurant at Disneyland, reopened on February 6, 2026. This fine dining experience, located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, debuted a new restaurant look and upgraded menu options.

3. New Disney California Adventure Celebration

The Disney California Adventure anniversary celebration began on February 8, 2026, featuring an amazingly cool Pixar Pier popcorn bucket, new characters, decorations, and new merchandise offerings.

There are also limited-time offerings like a collectible pin, tote bag, and more.

4. Soarin’ Over California Returns for Limited Time

Soarin’ Over California returned February 6, 2026, and will enjoy a limited run through July 1, 2026. This version of Soarin’ features a tour of the Golden Gate Bridge, Yosemite National Park, Palm Springs, downtown Los Angeles, and more.

This version is always a fan favorite with guests, and many were happy to see it return this year.

5. Sweethearts’ Nite Impacting Disneyland Park Hours

Sweethearts’ Nite is one of the most popular Disneyland After Dark Events. This event takes place on February 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, and 17. Tickets are sold out for this popular event, but visitors in February should be prepared for crowds before the event begins and park hours adjustments. Guests without an event ticket will have to leave Disneyland by 8 PM on these nights. Guests with party tickets can enter as early as 6 PM.

6. Lunary New Year Festival Ending

The Lunar New Year Festival at California Adventure ends on February 22, 2026. After this date, all the festival marketplace booth offerings and special entertainment will end, which will limit some of the offerings in the park.

The next festival, the Food & Wine Festival, will begin on March 6, 2026, so the park will be without a festival for a few weeks.

7. Sailing Ship Columbia Only Available Weekends

During February, the Sailing Ship Columbia is only available on Saturdays and Sundays, with the calendar showing no hours listed on weekdays. The hours will return to normal starting March 1st.

8. Celebrate Gospel Events in Downtown Disney

The Celebrate Gospel concert series for Black History Month in 2026 takes place over two weekends: February 20–21 and February 27–28, featuring uplifting gospel music performances, community choirs, and special headline artists.

Artists performing include Grammy Award-winning gospel music legend Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Grammy Award-winning vocalist Yolanda Adams.

9. Anaheim Ducks Day Returns

Anaheim Ducks Day takes place on February 22, 2026, at California Adventure. This day will feature appearances by select Anaheim Ducks players and the team’s mascot, Wild Wing.

Other events include a spirited “Take Flight Fan Rally” in the World of Color viewing area with music and chants, a dedicated fan zone in Hollywood Land with interactive hockey-themed activities, photo opportunities, limited-edition event merchandise, and specialty food and drinks available only for Ducks Day guests.

10. Disneyland Rides Closed in February

Since February is a popular time for Disneyland ride refurbishments, there are a number of rides that are closed. Jungle Cruise is currently scheduled to close February 17, 2026, and has no official reopening date yet. Space Mountain will be closed February 23 – 26, 2026, with a reopening date of February 27, 2026. As for California Adventure, Jumpin’ Jellyfish will close February 23, 2026, through March 5, 2026, with a reopening date of March 6, 2026. Grizzly River Run closed on January 5, 2026, for routine winter-season maintenance, as many water attractions do at Disney theme parks this time of year. We now know that the ride will reopen on March 22, 2026.

There are also restaurant locations experiencing closures. In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Oga’s Cantina closed on January 20 for refurbishment with no official reopening date yet. Additionally, Jat Kaa’s Coolers: J1-KC, the droid vehicle selling Cola-Cola products at the Resistance Clearing in Galaxy’s Edge, went down for maintenance on January 20 and will be back serving beverages starting February 15. Over in Fantasyland, Edelweiss Snacks will be closed from February 9 through February 26, 2026, reopening on February 27, 2026.

11. New Tour Reservations Opening Soon

A new tour is coming to Disneyland, with the booking window likely opening soon. The new “Women Who Make the Magic” guided tour was revealed by signage around the park, along with a mention on the tour list on the official Disneyland website.

12. February Surprise High Crowd Level Days

February is often one of the best times of the year to visit Disneyland due to the lower crowd levels, but there are two parts of the month guests should be aware of for crowd spikes.

One of the most crowded holiday weekends in spring, Presidents’ Day weekend, takes place February 14 through February 16th. And on February 22, we will see the last day of the Lunar New Year festival taking place at the same time as the Anaheim Ducks Day event, drawing larger-than-usual crowds to California Adventure.
